SIP148farmhousechic

I love, love this week's theme for the challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper!!
Immediately, when I saw the inspiration photo, I was channeling my inner Joanna Gaines.  lol

So, here is my paper version of a "Fixer Upper" episode......

The card on the left was the idea I had right away.  The card on the right happened when I found a piece of burlap ribbon on my desk that was leftover from some wedding invites I was working on.  The bride-to-be likes my design I made for her, so I will need to order more burlap ribbon anyway...

I have to admit, my cards were also inspired by my excitement that Stampin Up is bringing back the color Mossy Meadow!!! So excited!!!  :)

SIP147colorit

Hey folks!!!  Welcome to challenge #147 for Stamp, Ink, Paper.
This week we are breaking out our coloring skills.  :)

This is how I started......

I am making some invites for a luncheon we are having in a few weeks for friends and family that want to get together to celebrate us getting married a few months back. We got married outside, in a nearby state park.  It was 4 degrees that day!!  At least no long johns will be required to attend the luncheon.  :)

This was the finished product.  It turned out very cute. I am super happy with it!! I absolutely fell for this stamp set when I saw it, but have struggled what to do with it.  I am so glad now that I bought it.

Te set is called "Always & Forever" and is by Stampin Up.  The cardstock colors are Flirty Flaminga and Baked Brown Sugar. The tree trunk is colored with copics.  The sentiment is from a very old SU set called Sincere Salutations, I think.... :)   The heart embossing folder is from Cuttlebug and is called Cross My Heart.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my invites.
Please join in the challenge if you can.  It's a great excuse to color....which I find relaxing.  :)

SIP145Ombre

Hello, Hello!!!
And thanks for stopping by.

This week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper is the Ombre technique.
I hope you like what I came up with...........

The color I used is Crushed Curry. It is the cardstock and the ink I sponged on to the white layer.

I started by heat embossing the flowers with white embossing powder on to the white cardstock. I then sponged the ink over the embossing, starting at the left side and going lighter as I went right.  I stopped several times to wipe the embossed images off with a clean towel, so they stood out brighter.

The images are from and oldie, but goodie, set called Summer Silhouettes.  The stamped sentiments are from the Amazing You set.  The die cut "amazing" is from the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.  I cut it out of Crushed Curry cardstock and pressed it on to my Versamark pad, then sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.  I added a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for some more sparkle, and done!

Again, thank you for stopping by. Join in this week's challenge if you can!!!

Welcome to this week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper.

This week's theme is "Basket of Flowers".  Well, mine isn't exactly a basket, but it is as close as I have.  :)  I think it works......lol.

The image and sentiment are from SU's Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts.  The base of the card is Perfect Plum, I believe. The yellow dsp is a scrap I had. I cut a doily in half and attached it to either end of the stitched oval.  I colored the image with copics, attached a few sequins, and done.  :)  Pretty simple, but still pretty.  :)

Please join in our challenge if you can!!  I would love to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper.

This week is a color challenge, and I have to say, "I love these colors!!"  We will not, however, discuss how many attempts it took me to get this card right.......

I either messed up the stamping, or changed my mind on the placement, or tapped my stamp on to the wrong color ink pad.  Sigh....  But, eventually, I succeeded!!  Yay me!!   :)

The stamps are from Stampin Up's "In the City" set.  I kept the cards pretty simple. I used Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, and Lemon Lime Twist ink and cardstock.

Please join in the challenge if you can.  I would love to see what you create!!!

Welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!!!
I have been MIA the past few week's because my computer has been in the shop, but, thankfully I am back in business, for now at least.  It may be time to start shopping for a new one, because the local repair guy says if this happens again, he may not be able to do anything about it again.......boo.

So......... on to the challenge!!!

I love sketch challenges.  As I have said before, they are my favorites!!!
Here is my card.......

The adorable little skunk is from Lawn Fawn.  I stamped him in black and colored him with a black Copic marker.  The leaves are from SU's We Must Celebrate, and the sentiment is from SU's Here For You, and all are stamped in Old Olive. The card base is also Old Olive. The dsp behind the skunk is some retired SU dsp I had in my bin.

SIP136cabinfever

Hello there!!  And thanks for stopping by.

This week for the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge, we are coping with "Cabin Fever".  While I am not quite sick of winter yet, I know many others are, so we are thinking ahead to spring with our creations this week.

My card is made using an image from a new Stampin Up set I just got called "Flying Home".  I just love it, and think it is going to get a lot of use over the next few weeks.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.  I colored the image with pencil crayons.  The background paper is a scrap I had, so not sure of it's name.  The ruffled ribbon is a retired SU item.  My card base is Pool Party cardstock, and the yellow banner is made from Daffodil Delight cardstock.

Hope you can find some time to join in this challenge!!  Just click on the image below to be directed to the challenge home page...

SIP135LOVE

All You Need is Love.
That is the theme for this week's challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper.
And now I have the song in my head.........
sigh......

For my card, I dug up some old dsp I had.  It is by Stampin Up, but it is from years ago and I don't recall the name.  I fussy cut some of the tags and such off of one of the sheets, used another to cut out the heart, and used a third as a background layer under my embossed layer.  The embossed hearts are done with a Cuddlebug folder called 'Cross my Heart'.

The base is Calypso Coral.  Some of the tags and circles are attached with dimensionals.  I sponged around the heart with Calypso Coral ink to add some dimension.

SIP134colors

This week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper is some fun colors.......

I had some fun with these ones, and I am not usually much of a "pink" person.  :)

I used Melon Mambo, Berry Burst, and Calipso Coral inks and the sketchy heart from the wood crate bundle stamps to create a background on the first card.  Then I used my rotary stamp to make the sentiment along with the word "you" cut from a die.

The card base on both is Melon Mambo.  I used a piece of dsp from the woodgrain stack to stamp my favorite chicken on to for the second card.  Used same colors.  Layered it on to a piece of Baked Brown Sugar before adhering it to the card base and tied on some twine.

Please play along if you have some time.
Would love to see your creations!!!

This week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper is a great sketch.
I kept my card pretty simple. The background is three colors of washi tape.
On top of that I glued a circle of twine. The sentiment is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps, and is popped up with dimensionals. I finished it off with some little dots of color in the lower corner.

Hope you can find some time to join in the challenge.

SIP132CakeWalk

Hello!!!!!!! Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge for
Stamp, Ink, Paper,
this week, we are enjoying some CAKE!!!!
Make a card with a cake on it.....

So, I started out stamping a wedding cake, and had a totally different idea in mind.
I didn't care for how it was coming together, so I went in a totally different direction......

Ended up with a Birthday card instead!!

I like this fun Picture Perfect Party dsp from the new Saleabration catalog.  Thanks to Ms Andrea Tracy-Tucker for sending me some!!!  She also gifted me with the pretty lime ribbon I used.  :)
The sentiments are from an old SU birthday set, the cake image is from Big Day, I believe.
All were stamped in Bermuda Day.  The dsp layer, sentiments, and image are all adhered with dimensionals.

Hope you can find some time to join in this week!!  I would love to see what you come up with.

SIP131emboss

Happy 2018 Everyone!!!
Here's hoping for a great year for each of us!!

The first challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper for the new year is all about Embossing.....

I need a few winter cards, as I was a bit busy in December, and didn't get to Christmas cards. So this is one of them.....

My plan is to send out some wintery cards to at least the peeps that sent cards to me...... Hoping this isn't too "Christmassy" because of the colors, but I still think it is cute.  :)

My reasons for not getting out Christmas cards are several....... Until last week, I was juggling to jobs, which isn't so bad, unless one is a third shift job.  As of this week, the third shift job is my only one. I think the two jobs made me exhausted, which made me more susceptible to the flu that was going around.  I got so bad that I even went to the doctor, which anyone who knows me, knows that I hate going to the doctor.

I also got married in December.  That was part of the reason I went to the doctor....... Didn't want to be coughing all over Titus as we said "I do".  :)  We got married at a local state park, so outdoors, in 4 degree weather.  Crazy, I know!!  lol

SIP129

This week's theme for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is a color combo of red, green, and gold......  Well, gold is not something I use much of, so I had a bit of a challenge coming up with something that would work to help meet the challenge.

This is what I came up with.....

The card base is Cherry Cobbler, as is the ink I used to stamp the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Tin of Tags".  The images are from "pebbles". And, here is the funny part......the gold ribbon is out of my wrapping stash!!!  I was wrapping a few gifts last night for Titus to take to his co-workers, and luckily, the roll contained some gold.  Yay me!

The sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla, the images are applied with dimensionals.

Please take a moment to join our challenge is you can.
Merry Christmas.

SIP28letitsnow

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is "Let It Snow".

Here is northern Wisconsin, we are still waiting on some snow.  We had a bit a while back, but that has pretty much all melted.  I can't believe it is into December, and we have no snow.  One to two inches is in the forecast for tonight, so maybe it will be all white outside in the morning when I leave work.  I love the look of snow, but hate to drive in it!!

My card for this challenge is pretty simple.  Sometimes simple is best.  I just couldn't think of anything to add to it.

The stamps are from Unity Stamp Company.  The colors I used are Dapper Denim and Pool Party.

Please join the challenge if you can!!  There is so much you can do with this theme!!

Happy Thanksgiving week!!
Hope you are getting to enjoy some extra holiday time with family and friends.  Safe travels if you are heading out and about.  :)

This week at Stamp, Ink, Paper......
our challenge for you is "Grateful, Thankful, Blessed".
I went with a simple "thank you" card.  I had made some similar to send out after my dad passed away earlier this year, and I needed a few more for some coworkers recently. I had just loved how they turned out, so I made more of them, almost the same.

I started with my "go to" stamp set, Lovely as a Tree.
I stamped it in black, and sponged in some colors using Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Pear Pizzazz.  I then attached the white layer to coordinating cardstock, and done!!

A quick and simple card.  I can always count on that stamp set to help me out if I am ever at a loss for something to make.  :)

SIP125colors

Hello again!!
Thanks for stopping by.....

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is some pretty colors for fall. And, the timing is perfect as I picked up my new "Painted Harvest" stamp set at the post office today!!!  It has, sadly, been sitting there since Friday, but I had no opportunity to get there before today.  How sad!!

Here is my first project with it.....

My colors used are Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry for the ink. Chocolate Chip is also the card base color, but I snuck in some Early Espresso ribbon under the sentiment.

This past week we had to say goodbye to my best furry friend, Scout.

That makes all three pups we have lost within the last 14 months.  It is very sad, and very quiet, in our house now.  I don't think my heart is quite ready for a new pup yet, but maybe within a few months.  So, hug your furkids extra close today!!

Please take a moment to join in our challenge this week.  I know I will be playing with this stamp set again soon......I love it!!  And it worked really well with the challenge colors.  My new "toys" came in the mail at a good time.....I need the distraction!!

Hello there!!  And thanks for stopping by!!

I am not much of a wine or coffee drinker, so I don't have any wine stamps, and only a few coffee ones, so I had to think of something totally different.  And this is where I went.....

Te card base is Flirty Flamingo.  The stamp is from Stampabilities.  It is stamped in black, and colored in with Copics.

SIP123sketch

Hello!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

This is, surprise...surprise, not my original idea for this week's sketch.
But, when I went to make my card, I couldn't find the framelits I wanted to use. So that meant going back to the drawing board, and doing so quickly, as I didn't realize it was getting late, and my link was due!!

The card base is Old Olive. The white layer I ran through a snowflake filled embossing folder. The dsp is from a retired SU Christmas collection, I believe. The Cherry Cobbler swirly swirl is cut out using the Swirly Scribbles framelits. and the penguin and sentiment are from 'pebbles'.

I was inspired to use this sentiment because I wore up to THIS on Saturday morning....

Yuk.  Winter seems to be coming early to northern Wisconsin.

It s such a fun sketch!!  I hope you can find some time to make something to share with us.  IF I come across my tree framelits, I may try my original idea.  lol

SIP122washi

Hello!!!
Thanks for checking out my post for challenge #122 at Stamp, Ink, Paper.
This week washi tape is in the spotlight.  I must admit that I don't think to use washi much, but I do have about two dozen rolls of it for some reason, so luckily I was prepared!!  lol

I am in Christmas mode, as I am getting ready for a craft fair, so that made my choice of washi easy.
I used the Perfect Pines framelits (SU) to cut the tree and star. The stitched oval is from Gina Steimel.  The sentiment is from Better Together (SU).

The oval is pooped up with some foam squares.

Can't wait to see what you come up with using your washi.  Perhaps you will inspire me to use mine more!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's card for Stamp, Ink, Paper!
We have a tic-tac-toe board to go by this week, and I am hoping that my pine cones and needles count as "wood" on the board!!  :)

I love all things Christmas, and, since I am sick and feel like poo, I thought making something Christmas related would cheer me up.
IT hasn't worked yet, but that may just be lack of sleep and all the meds I took.

The colors are Mossy Meadow and Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla paper.
I cut the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and in Very Vanilla and layered them.
If you have any other questions, just leave a comment or message me on facebook...... I am off to sleep!!
