SIP63wings

This week's challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper is all about wings.....  Which, as it is almost lunchtime, I am now thinking about chicken wings..... Glad I wasn't thinking food when it was time to make my card!!  lol

I remember seeing a tutorial on making clouds by using different shapes cut out and then sponging around them as you move them around your page..... I think one of the things they used was a scalloped circle, and I have been meaning to try it out for months.  This seemed like the perfect opportunity.

The plane happens to be yellow, because (go ahead and laugh at me if you need to) I was watching a re-run of JAG, and Harm had a yellow plane, and he and Mac got stranded in the woods.  I miss that show.  lol

The color I used is Pool Party (ink for sponging and the cardstock). The sentiment and image are stamped in black. The plane was colored using a yellow Copic marker.

Not to brag, lol, but I love how they turned out.  I think I may try sponging some clouds using the cloud shape from the little tree punch next time.  :)

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

SIP62 sketch

Hello there!!  Thank you for stopping by to check out my card for this week's sketch challenge at Stamp. Ink, Paper!!

I made a totally different card, at first..... then had this idea....

Funny thing is, the flower that I had fussy cut, that started this whole idea, ended up being too big. So I didn't even end up using what I started with.... sigh.

The base is Mint Macaron, as is the dsp layer. The other color is Blushing Bride. The stitched dies are from Gina Steimel. The sentiments and numbers are from 'Number of Years' and the coordinating dies.  The flowers are from 'Bloom with Hope' which gets a lot of use, as it is a favorite set of mine/  The coloring is done with my Copics.

Hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge.
Make it a great day!!

SIP61tictactoe

Hello Hello!!  And thanks for stopping by to check out my card for our newest Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!!

I was a little all over the place when I wrote up this tic tac toe board.  lol   Oh well, gives everyone lots of options!!  :)

For my card, I went across the top row.... green, sequins, flowers.  Funny side note, Andrea did the same row, and her card looks nothing like mine!!  lol

I broke out an old friend, Blooming with Kindness, for the image and sentiment. It is stamped in Blushing Bride to coordinate with the dsp and cardstock base. All my layers are cut out with my Gina Steimel stitched dies.  She now has stitched stars, which are high on my wish list!!!
The stem of the flower and the ribbon are Old Olive. A few white sequins finished it off.

I am working on an order for 25 cards for a former card worker of my sister.  She asked that a few be for breast cancer patients, and I am hoping this is what she had in mind.  I made another one that is similar......

This pic also gives you a glimpse of my new card rack.  I am loving this thing!!  Got it for free from the lady that sets up beside us at the local flea market.  What a sweetheart!!

Hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge!!

Make it a great day!!

SIP60purples

Hello!!!

And thanks for checking in again for our newest Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge.
This week is something my sister will like, cuz it involves purple!!

I haven't made use of the scribbly lines in the Swirly Scribbles thinlits yet, so this seemed like a good chance to break em out!!

The card base is Elegant Eggplant, the stitched layer (cut with my most favorite Gina Steimel stitched dies!!) is on Smokey Slate.  The little flowers are from the Swirly Bird set, cut out with the matching die. The sentiment is from Endless Creations, the butterfly is from Nature's Perfection.

The butterfly cut out with the coordinating punch, the sentiment punched out with a retired punch whose name escapes me right now.  lol  The sentiment, butterfly and several of the flowers are poped up with dimensionals. I added a little sparkle with some bling.  :)

I had a little supervision while I was crafting today.....while she read the paper.  I have such a smart puppy dog!!  lol

Thanks again for stopping by!!
Please take a moment to join in this week's challenge!!
Make it a great day!!

This week, it is all about the laughs!!  Make us something funny!!

I thought this would be a great challenge idea..... who doesn't like to laugh??  :)

I don't use this Crazy Bird set enough..... and thought it would be a great set for this card.  The sentiment is from Art Impressions.

The card base is Basic Gray, the dsp is from my stash, not sure what the collection was.....

Hope you like my creation.
Can't WAIT to see what you all come up with!!!
