SIP 41 Weddings

Happy Tuesday!!!  And welcome to challenge #41 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  This week the challenge is a wedding card.

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-ho

Right away I reached for my wedding "go to" set, 'Your Perfect Day'.  I just love this one.....use it a lot!!

The card base is Blushing Bride, top layer white.

I stamped a couple of flowers (from the set 'Something to Say') right on to the wreath, which is stamped in Pear Pizzazz. I also stamped a few flower on to a scrap of white and some Blushing Bride paper and punched them out with the matching little punch, then glued them to the wreath.  Finished it off with a tiny pearl on each flower.

Just a quick and simple card...... which I love.

Thank you for stopping by to take a peek.  Hope you can find time to join us this week.  Wedding season will be here before we know it, and I hope it brings nicer weather along with it!!  :)

Have a Blessed Day.

SIP #40 tic-tac-toe

Hello!!!  And welcome to challenge #40 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  It doesn't seem like we have been doing this for 40 weeks already.....time sure flies!!

This week we have an "All Occasion" tic-tac-toe board for you.....

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-gY

I chose to go across the center.... Gold, sequins and congrats.....

The card base is white. I then used my stitched oval dies to cut out several layers from a pack of pastel paper I have called Mat Stacks.

The image is from Unity Stamp Co, stamped in Basic Gray.  I colored in the hearts with a copic marker and colored the cloud in with Wink of Stella.

I added a touch of gold with the gold thread loops and some sequins to finish it off.

I like how simple and pretty it came out.

Please take a moment to join in our challenge this week!!
Can't wait to see what you create.

Make it a great day!!

SIP#39 sketch

Hello!!  It's time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-gx

I just fell in love with this new birthday set from Unity Stamp Co called "....so glad you were born."

Had to have it the minute I saw it, and so I thought I would ink it up for this challenge.....

I started with a base of Pool Party, cut my white layer, and my dsp layers and sentiment with my stitched dies, can you tell I love my stitched dies??  lol

I colored in my cake using my copic markers.  They were given to me by a friend, and I am finding I just may need more....they are great!!  Then I fussy cut the cake and stuck him on my card with some dimentionals.

As usual, I stamped an extra image, just in case I messed up when coloring or cutting, so I made an extra card that is very similar......

Hope you enjoy my take on this week's sketch, and also hope you find time to join us!!

Make it a great day!!

PCCCS185

When I saw the sketch at Paper Craft Crew, I had an idea immediately to use this wreath.... Funny thing is, this is the third wreath I made, as the card just wasn't matching the image I had in my head.  Funny how that happens sometimes!!

It seemed to work best to keep card base white, the wreath and sentiment are from 'Circle of Spring'. The Crushed Curry layer is cut using a Chalk Talk die. I tied a button on with some twine, and looped some gold thread in the background, and done!!

I like how it finally turned out, after all my false starts, and hope you do, too.

This is the sketch I followed.....

If you click on the image, it will take you to their challenge.  :)

Thanks for stopping by.....
Make it a great day!!

SIP#38-colors

Happy Tuesday!!  And welcome to challenge #38 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!

When I saw these colors, I immediately jumped at the chance to pull out my new Botanical Builder Framelits to try em out for the first time!!  I am so glad I got them!! They are addictive.....I see them getting a lot of use in the future!!

The base of my card is Pear Pizzaz, the dsp is from the SAB pack from a few years back called Sweet Sorbet (I must admit that I am hording several packs of it, cuz it is awesome!!). I cut the corner of the dsp first, after moving the die around on the paper for several minutes, lol, cuz I couldn't quite decide where I wanted to cut it.....  Then I cut out several flowers in the Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand, and some leaves in Pear Pizazz and Old Olive.  Finished it off with some 'bling' and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Sentiment is punched out with the Word Window punch and layered with the Modern Label punch.

These are very pretty colors! Hope you can find some time to join our challenge this week!!  :)

Make it a great day!!

SIP#37 Naturals

Hello there!!!  And welcome to the 37th challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper!! I was pretty excited to see this one.......

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-fA

I really like to use embellishments on my cards, and love working with wood and cork, especially, so this one was fun!!!

I decided to pull out one of my old favorites (I didn't have to dig too far for it, as it is one I just love and use a lot!!). I am such a fan of the retired "Remembering Christmas". I use this image for many things.......

For my card, I stamped the image right on to some cork paper I had. I used Chocolate Chip ink, and then colored it in with my Chocolate Chip marker to make it darker. I layered that on some acorn dsp, attached to my kraft card base.  I wrapped a little twine around the layers, and added a wooden acorn embellishment, and BOOM!!  lol

I had this piece of white birch sitting here for months that I have been meaning to do something with, and since I had my favorite deer out..... away I went.  :)  The birch chunk is from an old white birch tree that we had bought for our mom one Mother's Day years ago.  The tree was not alive anymore, and I told Titus when we cut it down that I would want to make some things with parts of "Mom's tree".  He flattened out the bottom for me, and drilled a hole in the top for the candle.

I decided to put something similar on the back side of my candle holder, and went with my new "In the Meadow" set.  Also used the trees from this new set on the inside of my card, along with a birthday sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this week's project. Please take some time to join us.....I would love to see what you come up with!!!  :)

Make it a great day.
