SIP32 TicTacToe

Welcome to challenge #32 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-dI

I am not much in to Valentine's Day, so I struggled a bit with this one.... I do not have a lot of Valentine related craft stuff.... Then I found this patterned paper with arrows, and away I went.....

We have three wonderful puppy dogs, and I love stamps with dogs. This one from Unity is a favorite.  It is called Go To Your Happy Place, and is by Phyllis Harris.  The base of the cards are Tangelo Twist, the patterned paper from a pack by Me & My Big Ideas.

This one was stamped and sponged in Tangelo Twist.  The stitched circle die is by Gina Steimel, the banner I hand trimmed.

This one was stamped in black and sponged in Tangelo Twist, colored with pencil crayons.

The twine is orange/white, the arrow clip on each is a retired Stampin Up product.

Thanks for checking out my cards..... still struggling to get my mojo back from the Christmas crafty insanity.  I had so many craft fairs and orders for things that I got kind of burnt out.

Please take a moment to enter this week's challenge.  Would love to see what you create!!

Take care.
Happy Crafting!!

Love

TGIF!!

We have company for the weekend, and somehow I ended getting stuck sleeping on the floor last night..... hmmmmm...... Just sent Titus to the storage unit to bring the air mattress home, so I am more comfortable for the next two nights!!  However, this morning, since I was up early and uncomfortable, Titus noticed and let me have the spare bed in the living room for a bit, and he took the spot on the floor with the dogs.

Made me start thinking about love.  We don't have a fancy house (or a large one - which you can tell by lack of guestrooms). We don't have a lot of extras, but we do have each other, and our pups.

I need a new cover photo for the facebook group "One Stamp at a Time Cards & More" and thought the theme should be love...... and I saw a banner in my future......

Funny thing.... it didn't turn out at all like the picture I had in my head when I started!!  Our guest, Titus's sister, brought me some crafting goodies, which included these sparkly letters. I sponged some white hearts for under each letter. The next three layers are cut with my Chalk Talk framelits. I used some fun patterned paper with hearts, some SU Brights dsp and cardstock in the colors of Real Red and Melon Mambo.  The  burlap is some fun dotted stuff I found so long ago that I forget where I bought it!!  :)  The banners are hung on some pink/white twine.

As Valentine's Day approaches, I am grateful for what I love most in my life..... Titus, our dogs, my brother and sister (I can always count on them - no matter what), and a handful of family and friends. Oh, and my card making supplies!!  lol

Make it a great day!!
Enjoy who and what you love!!

SIP31hb

Welcome to challenge 31 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  This week it is a Birthday Theme challenge....

http://stampinkpaper.com/2016/01/sip-challenge-31-birthday/

It has been bitter, bitter cold here the last few days. It did not get above zero yesterday, and sits at -4 degrees right now. This inspired me to use some bright, summery colors for my card. I am trying to combat the gloom that is outside today.....

The base is Crushed Curry, topped with some Cherry on Top dsp. I cut a tag with my Chalk Talk framelits in white, and sponged part of the tag with Crushed Curry. I then stamped my sentiment from Unity on to the tag, topped the tag with some Crushed Curry Chevron ribbon tied with some green/white twine and a Bermuda Bay button.  I cut out a cupcake from some coordinating dsp and attached it to the tag, attached the tag to card with dimentionals and finished it off with a few sequins..

Please take a moment to enter this week's challenge.  If you are anything like me, you can always use an extra birthday card or two on hand!!

Make it a great week!!

Scrappy Day

I have a problem with scraps.... I can never make myself just throw them out.  Enter my new stitched dies!!!  I spent today using up some craps and playing with my new dies.  I am loving these.....and see SO many possibilities in the future.

I love the Cherry On Top dsp, and it is one I definitely keep all my scraps of.... A friend requested a b-day card for a 1 yr old, and I thought these would be fun. She took the Crushed Curry card with the giraffe.  The other card base is Bermuda Bay (which is a fave of mine), the animals are from a retired set called Wild About You, and they are stamped in Melon Mambo.

And, yes, I have more shapes already cut out, so plan to put together a few more of these tomorrow.  :)

I also made a few scoops of ice cream with some of the scraps.........

I think this one turned out cute, too.

This was the first day of the new year where I really feel I accomplished quite a bit in my crafty corner. I hope the trend continues!!  I have to admit to being a little "done" after all the Christmas orders and craft fairs.  I guess I needed a bit of a break.  Nice to feel like doing cards again!!

Make it a great day everyone!!!!!!!

SIP#30 Color challenge

Hello, and welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!!  This week we have a color combo for you.....

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-cX

I have to admit to a little sigh when I saw gold in the mix.  I don't use a lot of gold, so do not have a lot of options to add it to a card.  Then I remembered that I just found some gold sequins in the after-Christmas clearance on my last shopping trip.  :)  Right away I thought "shaker card".  Problem solved!!

I started with a base of the Crumb Cake. Embossed a white layer with a cloud embossing folder, and then ran it though the Big Shot again with a stitched rectangle die. Then I used a circle die to make my "balloon" in the clouds.  I then lined my balloon with a clear sheet, stamped my sentiment, piled some sequins on it and circled the back of the balloon with some mounting tape and adhered it to the base..  I made a bow using some Rose Red paper, and made a little tail for my balloon with more sequins, attached both using Tombo glue.

And, since there is always the fear I will get out of hand in my crafty corner, I have a supervisor....

She is a good helper. :)  As I type this, she must be chasing something.... her paws are a movin!!

Hope you have a great week. Here in northern Wisconsin, it is COLD. Very, very cold. The high temp today was 0 degrees..... was below zero all day with the wind chill.  So all three of our dogs pretty much hung out in the house today.  Hope it is toasty where you are!!  :)

Please take a moment to join this week's challenge!!
Make it a great day!

SIP#29sketch

Welcome to challenge #29 at Stamp, Ink, Paper.  This week we have a sketch for you, created by DT member Carolyn Lindenmayer.

And here is my vision/version of her sketch....

I gave my friend Lynda a pack of cards for a birthday gift last month, and she loved em, bought more.  Then she told me that she knew someone who used to be big in to card making, and just doesn't do much anymore.....and she said she was going to ask if she wanted to get rid of any of her supplies.  On Lynda's next visit, she brought me three HUGE packs of patterned paper. FUN!!

One of the packs was Black Current, by DCWV, which is what I used on my card. All the paper is from that stack, except the  base of my card which is Elegant Eggplant. The flower and sentiment is from the retired Regarding Dahlias stamp set. The ribbon is also Stampin Up. The sentiment is cut out with a stitched circle die by Gina Steimel. A little bling on the bottom, and done!!

Hope you like my creation...  please take a moment to enter a card in our challenge this week.
Make it a great day!!
