SIP #16 DesignersChoice

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone!!  Welcome to the 16th challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper.

https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwp.me%2Fp6hi7Y-7m&h=mAQHtCJbP
I have to admit, I struggle with these kinds of challenges, because I find it too hard to narrow down what to use on my card....  I have way too many favorites to choose from!!  :)

My sister asked me over the weekend to make a bunch of cards for her Goddaughter's upcoming birthday. Her idea is to give her about 10 cards, with instructions to open them when she is having a bad day, needs a pick-me-up, is lonely, and so on...... I love the idea, so said I would be glad to help!!
So, these are some of what I have come up with so far....

I love Gorgeous Grunge...... I have to admit, it was around a long time before I purchased it, and now I don't know what I was waiting for!!  It is so versatile, and great for use on cards fro kids, or, in this case, a teenager.  The colors I used are Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Real Red, and Tempting Turquoise.  The sentiments are from the 'Simply Wonderful' Sale-a-Bration set from last year.

Since I am making a pile of cards for her, I am glad I can make cards like these quite quickly.

Hope you enjoy my creations. Please take a moment to join our challenge!!!!  I would like to see what a few of your favorite things are.  :)
Make it a great day!!

Unity Stamp Challenge 32

Decided to give my first Unity Stamp Challenge a try......

http://www.theunitystampco-challenge.blogspot.com/?utm_source=Retail+Unity+Customers+from+Website&utm_campaign=2ec0635377-Sept_be_inspired_memberships9_20_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_cd3dd47de1-2ec0635377-17438277&ct=t(Sept_be_inspired_memberships9_20_2015)&mc_cid=2ec0635377&mc_eid=149bf42acc

I am loving the card sketch, so this is what I came up with......

I started with Unity's "You are my main squeeze", by Phyllis Harris (love her stamps!!!).  I colored her in with colored pencils and sponged the edges of the image and sentiment with some coordinating colors. I picked out some fun patterned paper from my stash for the background, and decided to make the images into a tag of sorts, with a fun ribbon combo tied to the end.

Makes me think of a teddy bear I used to have (although mine was white).....his name was "Noodle".  :)  I think he is still in a tote in my bedroom!!  :)

Hope you enjoyed my cards.

Make it a great day!!!

SIP #15 color challenge

Good Tuesday Morning and welcome to the 15th challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!
This week's challenge is a color challenge, and it is a fun one......

http://stampinkpaper.com/2015/09/sip-challenge-15-colors/

I love Daffodil Delight and use it a lot!!  My challenge was Pool Party, as I have paper in that color, but no ink........

So, the base of my card is the Daffodil Delight, with a white layer, followed up with a layer of Pool Party, on to which I heat embossed (using some Stampin Up clear embossing powder) the largest star from the retired "In the Stars" stamp set.  The sentiment is a Unity stamp, stamped in black, with a layer of black paper under it. I punched some half-circles onto each side of my Pool Party layer, and looped some black and white twine around the layer and tied a bow. This Pool Party layer was attached to the white with dimentionals. The other stars are punched with retired star punches using Daffodil Delight dsp.......and are "popped up" with dimentionals.

Hope you enjoy my card, and will take a moment to enter this week's challenge at stampinkpaper.com .
Happy crafting....... make it a great day!!

sf blog hop everything fall

http://www.creatinwithkirsteen.com/home/Everything-Fall-Stampin-Friends-Blog-Hop
Kirsteen Gill

Welcome to the Stampin Friend's Everything Fall Blog Hop!!  If you are just hopping on, please be sure to continue thru to enjoy everyone's creations.  If you arrived here from Kirsteen's blog, thank you for continuing on to my page.

We have three guest hoppers this month....
Barbara Welch, Kim Smith and Maria Willis
so, enjoy their creations along with the
regular hoppers!!  :)

For my card, I wanted to try the 'baby wipe' technique I keep seeing.  This is my first attempt, and I think I am hooked!!  Love how my wreath turned out. Loved it so much, I made several, as you can see!!  :)

And my project is a little golden pumpkin made with the Curvy Keepsake Die.  The die is awesome. Mine gets a workout near the holidays!!  :)  There are so many cute ideas for using it. I simply tied some twine thru the handle, and tucked some leaves made with the bird punch into my pumpkin.  The paper is Crushed Curry, and stamped with the Hardwood stamp in the same color.

Again, I LOVE how the wreath turned out!!  The first one is attached to a layer of Delightful Dijon, stamped with the hardwood stamp inked in same color. The base is Mossy Meadow.  I added a "Happy Birthday" banner, stamped in Blackberry Bliss. The sentiment is a Stampabilities stamp.  I sponged the banner in Blackberry Bliss, and attached a matching bow. Used the fork method of tying the bow for the first time, and have to say it works fabulously!!  You can find it on Pinterest.  The flowers are punched out of Crushed Curry and sponged with the same, topped with some candy dots.

For this next one I attached the wreath to a brick wall made with Stampin Up's new embossing folder. Paper is Crumb Cake, and I sponged it with Crushed Curry. It is attached to a layer of Mossy Meadow, and the base is Crumb Cake.  I looped some twine behind this bow. Left the bow (Hello Honey) longer and tucked the ends in behind the wreath. This sentiment is a Northwoods stamp, inked with Crushed Curry and sponged.

The base on this last one is Tip Top Taupe, with a strip of Mossy Meadow and a strip of Crushed Curry (stamped with the Hardwood again inked in same color).  This one got some Sisal Twine looped around it, attached with dimentionals, and I added some rhinestones for a bit of twinkle.

Hope you enjoyed my creations for fall.  Please continue on to Elizabeth's page. I am sure she has something wonderful in store for you.

Make it a great day!
Happy crafting!!

SIP #14 sketch challenge

Hello all!!  And welcome to Challenge #14 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  This week's challenge is a nice, simple sketch - which I love.  :)  Hope you are able to join us!!!  stampinkpaper.com

https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwp.me%2Fp6hi7Y-60&h=oAQGqsRGX
I needed a birthday card for a 1 year old, and am supply challenged when it comes to items for kids, especially little girls..... So, I just went for colorful and fun.

Thought Watermelon Wonder would work for a little girl, used some Cherry on Top dsp. The image is from a retired set called Hedgehog Happiness. I sponged edges on dsp and stamped image with some Watermelon Wonder ink and stamped some balloons and dots (with the eraser on end of a pencil) on to the card base.  I would have added some bling, but didn't want a choking hazard if the birthday girl got her hands on the card..... which turned out to be a good idea!!  lol

Hope everyone as a wonderful week!!
Make it a great day!!

SIP#13, Birthday

Hello and Good Tuesday Morning Everyone!!  Hope you all enjoyed a nice, safe Labor Day weekend.  My sister was home for the weekend, and I was able to set up at a local craft fair (and business was good) so all was good here!!  :)

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is a theme, that theme is birthday.

My sister needed a few cards for friends, so I made her a these.....

The first is made with Bermuda Bay, which is a fave of mine, along with some Cherry On Top dsp, and the stamp set, Not So Seriously. I love me some layers, so I cut some dsp pieces, along with the stamped images, and layered them on some Bermuda Bay. Then I just tried em out on the card til I liked where they landed.  :)  I finished it off with some candy dots.

For this one, she needed a larger size card for a co-worker. It needed to be bigger so her whole department had room to sign it.  I love sock monkeys, so thought this was a cute idea, and thought the Daffodil Delight would be nice and cheerful.  :)  I punched the balloons from some oval and circle punches, using Daffodil Delight and some coordinating dsp. The little nubbin on each balloon was made with branches of the Tree Builder Punch. Added a little twine on each balloon and popped each balloon with dimentionals.

Hope these cards bring a smile to the recipients, and to you.  :)
Please join the challenge at http://stampinkpaper.com/?p=370
Have a great week.....it is hotter than heck here, so I am off to sit in front of a fan with my book.  lol

Happy stampin!!!

SIP#12, Pop Of Color

Hello All, and welcome to Challenge #12 at Stamp, Ink, Paper. This week is a fun Pop of Color Challenge....

For my color, I chose Bermuda Bay, which is a favorite when I am looking for something bright.

The sentiment is a Wordsworth stamp, the others from Gorgeous Grunge. Added a few candy dots in Bermuda Bay, and there you have it!!  I may try this one in a few other colors. Would make a nice set of cards to have on hand, or to sell at an upcoming craft show.

Please join us at Stamp, Ink, Paper #12

Make it a wonderful week everyone!!
