CYCI #83 Back To School

It is all things "Back to School" this week at canyoucaseit.com

CYCI#83

I do not have a lot of "back to school" items to play with.  My sister is a high school English teacher in Green Bay, so you would think I would have some, just by association!!  lol  Thought I would give a whirl to this week's CYCI anyway.  Thinking maybe she can fill it with goodies or chocolate for a fellow teacher.

Hope she likes it.

Hope everyone has a great day!!  And, if you are sending your kids "back to school" enjoy the peace and quiet left in their wake!!  :)

Make it a great day!!

SIP #11, Tic Tac Toe

Hello All and welcome to our 11th Stamp. Ink, Paper Challenge!!  This week we are playing a little game of Tic, Tac, Toe.

As I scanned the options, monochromatic jumped out at me "pick me, pick me" it said.  :)  I do love me some monochromatic...... and so it went..... I went up from there adding twine, and making a birthday card.

The images are from a 2002 Stampin Up set called "Little Trucks". The sentiment is from an unmarked set I received from a friend.

Hope you will join in the fun at http://stampinkpaper.com/2015/08/sip-challenge-11-tic-tac-toe/
Thanks for stopping by!!
Make it a great week.  :)

CYCI #82 Hello Friend

Hello All!!  When I saw this week's canyoucaseit.com sketch, I knew I had to give it a shot!!

And here is my card.....

The base is Pear Pizzazz, the next layer Daffodil Delight. The dsp is from Timeless Elegance.  Of course my card had to include some coloring and fussy cutting, cuz that is how I roll.  lol  The tulip image is from Love is Kindness, and the sentiment is a Wordsworth stamp.  I sponged around the sentiment with Smokey Slate, to tie it in with the dsp.

Hope everyone is having a good day!!

SIP #10, Miss you Mom

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!  So honored that my suggestion was used for this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge.  I saw this photo online and just fell in love.

Had lots of ideas floating around in my head, but I just kept coming back to "home".  To me, home always meant Mom.  She made this house the place we all wanted to visit, the place we all wanted to be.  Living here since she passed away has been hard. I believe card making, friends and family have helped to keep me sane during these last two years. I miss her every day.

The base of the card is Smokey Slate, topped with a layer of Irresistibly Yours dsp, which I sponged with a light layer of Tempting Turquoise. The images are from Unity Stamp Co.

Hope you enjoy my card, and hope you take a moment to play along this week.

Happy crafting!!

SIP #8, Sketch

Hello all, and welcome to another week at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  This week's challenge is a sketch....

I happened to need a birthday card for my dad, who turns 85 today, so this is what I came up with...

Dad likes to take things apart, and figure out how it's all attached, so I made sure it had some layers, and I popped up the flame on the big candles, and the top of the cupcake with some dimentionals.  This card will probably be in pieces before this post is read.  :)

Have a great week, and be sure to join in this week's SIP Challenge at stampinkpaper.com

Thanks for stopping by!!

CYCI #80 Sketch

Happy Hump Day!! I am loving the sketch on http://canyoucaseit.com/

CYCI#80

Earlier this year, I got a great surprise in the mail from my cousin Rachelle. She had some stamping supplies she wasn't using, so she sent them on to me. One of the sets was SU's Both Way Blossoms. I cracked it open a few days ago for the first time, and when I saw this sketch, I knew I would be pulling them out again!!

The base is Baked Brown Sugar, topped with a layer of black, then a layer of white, which I stamped the "Thank You" on to (from the Something to Say stamp set).  The tiles that the flowers are stamped on to are 1 3/4 inch square.

I love to color, I find it relaxing, so I also got to bring out the colored pencils, too.  :)  Although I have already thanked her, I think I will send this off to Rachelle.....

Have a great rest of your week!!

SIP #8 Designer's Choice

Greetings!!  Welcome to Stamp, Ink, Paper's Challenge #8, which is a Designer's Choice.

My favorite thing to make lately is these cute little bags, which I fill with notecards, a notepad and a pen.  I am totally addicted!!  I made several for our local Relay for Life event, and for some local craft fairs/flea markets.

I love the new color Mint Macaron, and recently bought the Choose Happiness stamp set, which has turned out to be a favorite.

I am also really liking the new in-color lace and will probably end up needing more.... I used the Mint Macaron cardstock for the base and trim on this bag, stamped the flower from Choose Happiness on the tag and on the notepad cover. I tied the tag to the bag with the coordinating lace.

The notepad also got a tag from Chalk Talk, which has been a favorite for a long time, and has a butterfly from Butterfly Basics and a few flowers from a retired flower trim.  The boot stamp is from Unity, the cupcake is from the new Sprinkles of Life.

Hope you like my Note Tote and contents.  The instructions for the bag can be found at https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.craftyhallett.co.uk%2Fbag-in-a-box-handbag%2F&h=0AQERb1ju  There is an awesome video you can follow.  I will warn you, I don't think you can make just one!!!  :)

Please pull out your favorite goodies and join us at http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-4c

Have a great week everyone!!
