SIP91color

Hello!!!
And thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge....

I was struggling a bit with the combo, until I was working on something else and came across this piece of dsp in the Serene Scenery stack. And the light bulb went on!! lol

I stamped the Unity Stamp Co image, from the "Everything Joyful and Beautiful" set.  in Crumb Cake on to the dsp, then stamped it again on to some white cardstock. I colored part of the image on the white, then cut the part I wanted using my stitched square die.  I adhered the colored image on to the dsp with dimensionals then stamped the sentiment, from SU's "Regarding Dahlias".

I finished it off with some twine tied around the card.

The coloring was done with copic markers, the sentiment color is Elegant Eggplant.

Again, thanks for stopping by!!!
Hope you can find some time to join this week's challenge!!

SIP91HBAndrea

This week is my friend Andrea's birthday.
She is turning 25 (again).  :)
So, the rest of the design team is set to wish her a great day!!

I saw a card with a see-thru front on Pinterest some time ago, and have wanted to try this ever since....

I cut a piece of designer paper and tacked it to the front of the card, placed where I was going to want it, and ran it thru my big shot, cutting both the dsp and the card front at the same time. This allowed me to get the line up just right. I adhered my acetate sheet to both the back of the dsp and the front of the card front. Between these layers I put a layer of foam tape around the opening, filled it with sequins and balloon cutouts, and stuck my layers together.

I will definitely try this layout again.  I figured a shaker card was needed, as Andrea is a fan.  :)

Please take some time and participate in our challenge if you can!!
Have a great week!!

SIP90shaker

Helloooooo.......
This weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is a shaker card.  I see SO many that are SO cute, but I just don't make a lot of them. So this was just the nudge needed to break out the sequins!!

I have had this shaker-ready balloon which came in a kit of ready-to-make projects.  I have used so many items out of the kit, that there is not much left to create the items the kit was intended for. This seemed the perfect opportunity to make use of it....

The other balloons were all punched with the Balloon Punch. The sentiment is from the "Party Pants" set.
The colors used were Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.  The background is from a paper stack from My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by!!

osatbloghopbdaybash

I am hopping along with the OSAT blog hoppers this month.

The theme is "Birthday Bash", inspired, I imagine, by the fact that our fearless leader, Andrea Tracy-Tucker, has a birthday this month.  She will be turning 29, again, I believe!!  :)

I took this opportunity to play some more with my "taco truck".  I love this Tasty Truck set, and love tacos even more, so I have changed the name of the set in my head.....  lol

So, my original idea was for a little cupcake holder. The local grocery store has pretty good cupcakes, so I talked myself in to buying some.  I happened to get some with purple in the frosting, so this is why my project became purple....

So, I began with the cupcake box. I used Wisteria Wonder, and some retired dsp to create it. The band I started with to form the box is 2" high, each side is 3" wide. I used the retired Two Tags die (which I just received from the wonderful Tina Riddle!!) to make the taller sides because I wanted a little curve and detail to the sides. I punched the tags with a small star punch to add some detail....my original idea was to add some balloon cutouts, but they just didn't look right...

On the front, I attached the Tasty Truck, and on the back....

the rest of the sentiment and a little ribbon detailing.

My card base is Wisteria Wonder. And I again made a little truck for the front.  For the background I repeatedly stamped the truck in Wisteria Wonder ink.

I also made a little treat bag. I must admit that I am unsure if the bag is Stampin Up, or if it is one I purchase from a local craft store (I have both).  :)

Again, I stamped the little truck and colored it with copics. It is all ready to be filled with goodies!!

Thank you for stopping by to check out my goodies!! I hope you are having a wonderful day!!

SIP89balloons

This week's card for the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge was inspired by the sketch for this week,

but also by the Unity Stamp Co paper piecing challenge.....

I don't do much paper piecing.  This is, I believe, about my third attempt.....

I may have gone a bit crazy with the paper piecing, but we all know how I love to fussy cut!!  It takes a special girl to coordinate her dress, shoes, hat, AND balloons!!!  lol

I used the Unity Stamp Co set called "Evelyn Girl" for the image and sentiment.  The pink spotted paper I used for the background, and her shoes, outfit, hat and a few of her balloons is from a 'Products by Nancy Mat Stack". The glitter washi is from Stampin Up, and I colored with copics.

My card is finished off with some sequins from.....wait for it.....the Dollar Tree!!  lol

Hope you enjoyed my card. Please take some time to enter this week's challenge. I love a good sketch!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
