This week's challenge is................ a tic tac toe!!

I admit I was kinda all over the board when trying to figure out my card,  lol

I ended up going across the bottom, But also realized I went down the middle, too.  :)  Daffodil Delight is my main color, the blue embossed layer is one I had in my stash, already embossed, so I am just gonna call it light blue.  :)

The sentiment is from the new balloon SU stamp set. All my "happy birthday" sentiments I could find were too small, til I noticed this one.

Sorry my post isn't very detailed.  I am fighting the flu, have been for about 4 days now.
If you have any questions about items used, or anything, just post a comment, and I promise to reply.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!
And thanks for stopping by!!
You may notice there is a new look to my blog this week.  Had a fried who is so much more schooled in all things computer related stop out to help me make some changes......ok. I admit, I visited with her mom while she made the changes.  lol

This week's challenge is a sketch, and it is a nice one!!

And this is where I went with it.....

The patterned paper is from the Love Blossoms dsp stack, the flower and sentiments from the set Better Together.  The colors are Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride.

The wreath is from the Swirly Scribbles dies. The leaves are punched with the Bird Builder punch.
the layers are cut with Gina Steimel stitched dies....

We have had a winter warm spell the last week or so.  Nikki has been taking advantage of it to work on her tan......  :)

Again, thank you for stopping by.
Make it a great day, and.....

Thanks for stopping in to check out this week's challenge!!

I have had these canvas cut outs for about 2 years.  I bought a pack of 20, and have maybe used 2!!  So I thought this would be a great opportunity to break the jar out and play.  I chose a large butterfly from the jar, and colored it green with a gelato and water.

The card base is shimmery gray. For the next layer, I ran a Tim Holtz Weathered Wood ink pad down the birch tree embossing folder from Stampin Up, and embossed it on white cardstock  I stamped the tree ring stamp from Concord & Ninth with same ink and fussy cut it. I adhered the tree ring with dimentionals, and attached the butterfly to the tree ring with glue dots.  I had weaved some coated wire through the body of the little butterfly, and curled the tips with a pencil.

The sentiment is from a Fiscars set, simply called Sentiments.

Again, thanks for stopping in.
Happy crafting!!

SIP81chicken

I was so excited to get my new chicken stamps in the mail, I knew I was going to figure out a way to incorporate them in to the next challenge.... no matter what!!  lol  Turns out, it was a pretty good fit.....

Then the dilemma started..... which chicken to use..... what is my one color gonna be....  sigh...... It is rough having new toys.  lol

Tuns out, my color is yellow. I love me some yellow....

The new set is called "Hey Chick" from Stampin Up.  I have to admit I couldn't stop at one card.....I made 5.  lol   My cousin has a b-day coming up (which she reminded me when I posted one of the other cards on my facebook page) so I think I will send the bundle to her as a b-day gift.

Not a complicated card.  The base is plain old black. I used the little egg stamp from the set to make a background. Cut that layer out with my stitched rectangle die.  Cut my chicken out with a stitched circle. The colring was done with varios yellows, including colored pencil, copics, and Crushed Curry ink (the chicken wire background stamp on the banner).

Turned out pretty cute.  I just love this set!!  Peeps are gonna be sick of seeing my chickens soon, I think.....  lol

It has been so cold here in northern Wisconsin, and last night the fan motor on our wood stove decided it was done.  Then our propane furnace, which is our backup, decided it wouldn't come on. Luckily, my brother has a friend that used to work at a heating place, and he was able to help Titus get it up and running over the phone, and today they are going to hunt up a replacement for the fan motor.  Sigh.....always seems these things wait for the bitter cold weather to happen.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Make it a great day!!
Stay warm.

Thanks for checking out my card for challenge #80 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!

Cardmaker's Choice is always a struggle for me.  I get too distracted, can't decide what to play with....

This week, I am waiting to get my new chickens from Stampin Up.  So, while I impatiently wait, I decided to play with my chicken set from Raisin Boat....

The "Just Chicken In" sentiment is from Crackerbox Palace, everything else is from my "Chicken Coop" set from Raisin Boat.  The cardstock is from The Paper Cut, the color is FOSSIL.  The wire embossing folder is from Darice.

And now the inside.....

All colored with Copics.

Thanks again for stopping by!!!
Happy 2017, hope it treats you well.

Hug your pets,

Welcome to the 70th challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  Thanks for stopping by.  Once again, it is our annual "Anything but Christmas" challenge.  :)  The possibilities are limitless (well, except the whole they-can't-be-Christmas thing).  lol

My sister asked me for a batch of cards of various sentiments to give out as Christmas gifts to her friends.  I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it.  I thought it would be perfect for my English teacher sister, and all her friends.  And, it seems once I inked it up, I couldn't stop!!  lol  I love to color, and so I just kept experimenting with different colors, then tried finding paper to match, and here they are.....

This one might be my favorite.  Might be.  lol Or it may be this next one.....

I just am not sure.....

I also made her some kids birthday cards, some thinking of you, a few just because cards, and some thank you cards.  Sent them out this afternoon, along with a few of her favorite Christmas treats, as I finally got around to some baking today.

I hope you each have a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for 2017.

Hug your pets, and bring them in from the cold!!

I have a huge card order I need to be working on.....  I was looking for some inspiration this morning when I saw this sketch at Paper Craft Crew, and right away had an idea!!

The card order is for an assortment of sentiments.  She wants birthday, thank you, sympathy, and so on......  This sketch is a great place to start.

On to my white card base, I used the eraser of my pencil, tapped on to my ink pads to make the dots along the top of card. The colors I used were Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green, Hello Honey, and Sweet Sugarplum.  The sentiment is the "Time of Year" hostess set, stamped in some of the same colors.  I like how fun it turned out while still staying pretty simple.

Hope everyone is having a great day.  It is cold and windy here, so a good day to stay inside and make more cards.  I best get back to it!!

Thanks for stopping by.
Hug your pets!!
