SIP #7, color challenge

Hello All and Happy Tuesday!!

This week's challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper is a color challenge.

When I saw the colors, my first thought was 'minion', but I had just made several minion cards last week and didn't want to do more. My second thought was something nautical, cuz I love my lighthouses!!, but I didn't love how that card turned out, so I moved on to some flowers...... you can aways count on your flowers!!  :)

The base of my card is Daffodil Delight, with a layer of Sahara Sand next. On to my white cardstock, I stamped images from Gorgeous Grunge in Sahara Sand and Daffodil Delight. I stamped some flowers in each of the colors (including Pacific Point) using Petite Petals, punched them with the coordinating punch, and punched a few tiny flowers with another punch I just got, which I do not know the name of.  I looped some twine around my fingers and stuck it to my white layer, topped it off with the flowers and some bling, and there you have it!!  :)

Hope you will stop on by stampinkpaper to add your creation to this week's challenge!!
Make it a great day!!

Using up Scraps

I finally came to the conclusion it was time to shovel off my desk. I need to learn to put things away when done with a card, instead of just piling them up.  :)  During my cleaning spree, I came across a bunch of scraps of dsp and card stock, and I wanted to come up with a use for it all. So I started like this.....

They were quite the collection of odds and ends, but I think the cards turned out cute.... I just added some twine and a sentiment to each, and attached them to card bases using dimentionals.... Left each blank inside for a personal note.

Hope ya'all have a great weekend!!!

Beachy Bridal Shower, SIP #6

Hello All!!  Hope your week is going well.

This week at Stamp, Ink, Paper we have a Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge for you.

Justin Krieger's photo.

My three in a row are the enamel dots, patterned paper and ribbon/twine.
This is what happened when I put them together.....

My sister told me it looks "beachy", and once she said that, I had to agree.  The base and embossed layer are Sahara Sand. The patterned paper and the blue layer are some I had lying around.  The images are stamped in Chocolate Chip. The twine is yellow/white.  Hope you enjoy my card. Stop on over at www.stampinkpaper.com to play along!!

Make it a great week!!

SIP #5, Christmas in July

Good Tuesday Morning All!!  And welcome to challenge #5 for Stamp, Ink, Paper. This week it is Christmas in July!!!  I was hoping that working on a Christmas card while sitting in front of my fan would cool me off a bit, but it didn't work. Sigh....

I started with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock, followed with a layer from All is Calm dsp. The tags were cut using my Chalk Talk dies, the white was stamped (in Lost Lagoon) with images from White Christmas, as is the sentiment on the lil banner at the bottom. For the ribbon, I chose the striped in Crumb Cake, the Lost Lagoon and these are tied off with some linen thread. The snowflake button is from a bag of buttons I have had for years, so I can't tell you the name.....sorry.

Be sure to stop on over at stampinkpaper.com and see everyone's creations!!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all Happy Crafting!!

CYCI#77

I needed a few thank you cards to include in some orders I was sending out, so here is what happened.....

This was a good opportunity to play some more with my Cherry on Top dsp stack..... I am thinking I will need to order another!!  This paper is so fun and cheerful, I just want to use it on everything!!  The card bases are Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, and Cucumber Crush cardstock. The inks used were Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.

Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set

What Will You Stamp #19, just happens to be a challenge for a new set I recently purchased. Yay!!  Good reason to ink it up and see what happens.....

I have been trying to build a little inventory for myself, as I never seem to have a card "at the ready" when I find myself in need.... weird for a card maker, isn't it??  lol  So, as long as I was figuring out a design, I tried it with a few other combos as well....

The base for the front card is Watermelon Wonder, the other cards are Blushing Bride. The dsp is all from the Cherry on Top stack.  Ink used was Watermelon Wonder.  Added a little bling, and they are all ready to go!!  :)

These were fun, quick cards. Thanks to WWYS for the push to play with my new toys..... will be using it a lot in the future, I predict.  :)

Head over to whatwillyoustamp to check out their challenge!!

L is for love...... SIP #4

Hello Everyone!!  This week's challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper is an "Inspiration" challenge.  And this is what I was inspired to create.....

Andrea posted a photo of her wedding flowers as our jumping off point....

So pretty!!!!

I started with a base of Blushing Bride cardstock, and layered on to it a piece of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock on which I stamped the Hardwood in Baked Brown Sugar.  I cut out a banner from some BBS dsp, layered it on a base of Blushing Bride, and attached it to the hardwood with some dimentionals.  The wreath is from the Wonderful Wreath set, stamped in Pear Pizzazz. On to the wreath I attached some flowers in Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride. I used the little flower from Something to Say, and punched it with the coordinating punch. I then punched out solid colored flowers in matching cardstock to layer under each stamped flower.  I attached the wreath to the banner and then the Daffodil Delight flowers to the wreath, then I placed the Blushing Bride flowers on with dimentionals.

The "love " is cut out with the Expressions thinlit in Blushing Bride, on to it I added some Wink of Stella to make it sparkle and attached a little flower.  I also added some "bling" to each of the flowers, pale pink pearls to the pink ones, clear rhinestones to the yellow ones.  Whew..... now I need a nap.
