SIP101graduation

I made a pile of graduation cards this year..... and now that it is time for the one card I need to hand out, I have none left.  That is a good issue for a card maker to have, though.  :)

The graduate I need to give one to is graduating from the local high school. Our school colors are orange and black, and, just for a fun bit of trivia, our school mascot is the "midget". Yes, true story, we are the Butternut Midgets!!  :)

So, I went with some orange on his card, and dug out my favorite old graduation set from SU... "Go, Graduate". The numbers are cut out with the Stampin Up numbers dies.

The inside.....

Hope he likes it.... Most graduates, I am sure, are more concerned with the cash inside, than what the card looks like.  lol

Here are a few of the others I had made....

Hope you can find some time to join the challenge!!

SIP100

Hello there, and welcome!!

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is Cardmaker's Choice!! YAY!! That makes anything possible......

So, a good friend had a very bad day on Sunday, and I thought she could use a smile.....and some chocolate......

Also, I just purchased this adorable little skunk from Lawn Fawn, and couldn't resist putting him to use right away!!  I paired him with some sentiments from Here for You, by Stampin Up.

The dsp is a retired Stampin Up print, the stamped flowers are from the Swirly Scribbles set.  The bag is made with the Mini Treat Bag Die (which I have been obsessed with these last few weeks!!).

Thanks for stopping by!!  Hope you can find some time to join this week's challenge!!  It's a great one to try, if you haven't joined us before, since you can do whatever you like!!!  :)

Make it a great day!

SIP99packaging

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge!!
This week we are all about packaging....
I was inspired by these Cherry Cola flavored Tic Tacs I found!!

I found this adorable Unity stamp set at the local spring stamp/craft extravaganza for......wait for it...... $1!!  Yes, I only paid $1 for this.  They have a huge used stamp sale, and this cutie didn't have a price tag on it, so I asked one of the ladies who ran the event what the price would be, and yay!!  Obviously, she is not a stamper,or she would have charged me more!

I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock at 2" x 10" and punched each end with my tag topper punch. I then found the center and laid the tic tacs in to it to figure where my score lines would go...

These tic tacs were just perfect!!!  :)

I also made this little guy out of a scalloped circle......

Hope you can find some time to join us!!

OSAT blog hop clean and simple

I love clean and simple cards, which makes this month's OSAT  Blog Hop just perfect for me!!  This month the theme is all about Clean and Simple.

Clean and simple cards are a favorite, and I love to do them, but I struggled with what to make as a project with the same theme. But then I had the idea to make a little notebook to send along with the card I made. The plan is to send them to my cousin who is battling some health issues.  I try to send her a card every week or two, but I have been slacking on my duties, so including this notebook will be a good thing.

For my card, the base is Smokey Slate, on the white panel, I sponged some Sweet Sugarplum, then stamped an image from Bloom With Hope, and a sentiment from Sending Thoughts both in the Smokey Slate. The white panel I then cut out with my stitched die.

The little notebook is a mini composition book, which I covered in Sweet Sugarplum. The image I stamped this time in Sweet Sugarplum, and another sentiment from Sending Thoughts in the Smokey Slate.

I hope you have enjoyed my creations.
My plan is to get them out in the mail tomorrow.

Next stop in the hop is Anna Smith.
Clicking on the button below will take you there...

Make it a great day!!

SIP98kidsbday

Thanks for checking in on this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!

This week we are making kids birthday cards.
This challenge comes with some good timing for me, as I have a birthday party for two cute, young family members to go to later this month!! So, I made a card for each....

This is for Gunner, who is, obviously, five.  I am hoping he likes tractors, like his grandpa.

This next card is for Zoey. She will be seven.  She came down with her aunt and Grandma (my cousin) last fall to get crafty.  We had such a good time stamping and such.  They need to come again!!  They wore me out, but it was a hoot!!

I hope you can find some time to join in!!
Just click on the challenge below....

MOJO495

Just bought an adorable new stamp set by Creative Vision Stamps, and unfortunately, I have a reason to use it right away.  I found out yesterday that my brother will be losing his puppy tomorrow.  I say puppy, even though Saja is 11 years old.  She has developed several tumors that are now pushing on her organs. Poor girl

So, I used this cool sketch challenge from MoJo Monday to get some inspiration to make my brother a card.   Cute card for such a sad occasion.

Hope you have enjoyed my card.

SIP97MothersDay

Hello!!  And welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge....

This week it is all about Mom.
I lost my mom a few years back, and the loss never seems to get easier, so this was a tough challenge for me.  I haven't made a Mother's Day card in years, cuz it makes me sad. :(

Well, Titus asked if I would make a Mother's Day card for his mom, so it made it a bit easier to do this one, as I geared it towards her....  She is a sweetheart, and makes a great Mother-In-Law.  I think she will enjoy this.....

The card base is Sweet Sugarplum. The dsp is from KaiserCraft. The sentiment is stamped PSX on the side. I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla, and topped it with a flower I fussy cut from the dsp.

The ribbon is from Stampin Up. And I put a panel of Very Vanilla on the inside for him to write on...

I am hoping she likes it.... and I am hoping you find some time to enter a card in to our challenge this week!!

Make it a great day!!
Hug your pets!!
