SIP100

Hello there, and welcome!!

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is Cardmaker's Choice!! YAY!! That makes anything possible......

So, a good friend had a very bad day on Sunday, and I thought she could use a smile.....and some chocolate......

Also, I just purchased this adorable little skunk from Lawn Fawn, and couldn't resist putting him to use right away!!  I paired him with some sentiments from Here for You, by Stampin Up.

The dsp is a retired Stampin Up print, the stamped flowers are from the Swirly Scribbles set.  The bag is made with the Mini Treat Bag Die (which I have been obsessed with these last few weeks!!).

Thanks for stopping by!!  Hope you can find some time to join this week's challenge!!  It's a great one to try, if you haven't joined us before, since you can do whatever you like!!!  :)

Make it a great day!

SIP99packaging

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge!!
This week we are all about packaging....
I was inspired by these Cherry Cola flavored Tic Tacs I found!!

I found this adorable Unity stamp set at the local spring stamp/craft extravaganza for......wait for it...... $1!!  Yes, I only paid $1 for this.  They have a huge used stamp sale, and this cutie didn't have a price tag on it, so I asked one of the ladies who ran the event what the price would be, and yay!!  Obviously, she is not a stamper,or she would have charged me more!

I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock at 2" x 10" and punched each end with my tag topper punch. I then found the center and laid the tic tacs in to it to figure where my score lines would go...

These tic tacs were just perfect!!!  :)

I also made this little guy out of a scalloped circle......

Hope you can find some time to join us!!

Make it a great day!!!

OSAT blog hop clean and simple

I love clean and simple cards, which makes this month's OSAT  Blog Hop just perfect for me!!  This month the theme is all about Clean and Simple.

Clean and simple cards are a favorite, and I love to do them, but I struggled with what to make as a project with the same theme. But then I had the idea to make a little notebook to send along with the card I made. The plan is to send them to my cousin who is battling some health issues.  I try to send her a card every week or two, but I have been slacking on my duties, so including this notebook will be a good thing.

For my card, the base is Smokey Slate, on the white panel, I sponged some Sweet Sugarplum, then stamped an image from Bloom With Hope, and a sentiment from Sending Thoughts both in the Smokey Slate. The white panel I then cut out with my stitched die.

The little notebook is a mini composition book, which I covered in Sweet Sugarplum. The image I stamped this time in Sweet Sugarplum, and another sentiment from Sending Thoughts in the Smokey Slate.

I hope you have enjoyed my creations.
My plan is to get them out in the mail tomorrow.

Next stop in the hop is Anna Smith.
Clicking on the button below will take you there...

Make it a great day!!

SIP98kidsbday

Thanks for checking in on this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!

This week we are making kids birthday cards.
This challenge comes with some good timing for me, as I have a birthday party for two cute, young family members to go to later this month!! So, I made a card for each....

This is for Gunner, who is, obviously, five.  I am hoping he likes tractors, like his grandpa.

This next card is for Zoey. She will be seven.  She came down with her aunt and Grandma (my cousin) last fall to get crafty.  We had such a good time stamping and such.  They need to come again!!  They wore me out, but it was a hoot!!

I hope you can find some time to join in!!
Just click on the challenge below....

MOJO495

Just bought an adorable new stamp set by Creative Vision Stamps, and unfortunately, I have a reason to use it right away.  I found out yesterday that my brother will be losing his puppy tomorrow.  I say puppy, even though Saja is 11 years old.  She has developed several tumors that are now pushing on her organs. Poor girl

So, I used this cool sketch challenge from MoJo Monday to get some inspiration to make my brother a card.   Cute card for such a sad occasion.

Hope you have enjoyed my card.

SIP97MothersDay

Hello!!  And welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge....

This week it is all about Mom.
I lost my mom a few years back, and the loss never seems to get easier, so this was a tough challenge for me.  I haven't made a Mother's Day card in years, cuz it makes me sad. :(

Well, Titus asked if I would make a Mother's Day card for his mom, so it made it a bit easier to do this one, as I geared it towards her....  She is a sweetheart, and makes a great Mother-In-Law.  I think she will enjoy this.....

The card base is Sweet Sugarplum. The dsp is from KaiserCraft. The sentiment is stamped PSX on the side. I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla, and topped it with a flower I fussy cut from the dsp.

The ribbon is from Stampin Up. And I put a panel of Very Vanilla on the inside for him to write on...

I am hoping she likes it.... and I am hoping you find some time to enter a card in to our challenge this week!!

Make it a great day!!
Hug your pets!!

SIP96CASwedding

I love CAS cards!!
(Clean and Simple)

Not only are they quick to make, when you need a card right away, it's a nice change from some of my cards that tend to get a little cluttered.....  :)

This is what  came up with....

I was having so much fun with this stamp, I made a few more......

The image is from Stampin Up's Avant Garden. The sentiment is from Better Together.

I hope you have enjoyed my creations.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

SIP95sketch

Hello!!  And thanks for stopping by to check out my card for this week's challenge.....
As I have mentioned several times, sketch challenges are my fave!!  And this is a great one.....so I kinda went a little crazy.....er.....  lol

I am inspired by the grass turning green finally, and by my mom's tulips and daffodils finally peeking through the ground, that I went floral, and used some fun colors.

I gave my sister some shelves over the weekend, and when rearranging some of the supplies I had on the shelves, I found this set of Hero Arts stamps that I have had for years and years.... The flowers are from that set. The sentiment is from Stampabilities. And the leaves are from SU's Avant-Garden sale-a-bration set.

The colors used are Pear Pizzazz, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Chocolate Chip.

Hope you have enjoyed my creations.
Make it a great week,
and, hug your pets!

OSATflowerpowerbloghop

Hello there!! And thanks for stopping by to check out my contribution to this month's hop.

First of all, I can't believe how late I am in making and posting my project.  I just wasn't happy with my first attempt, so I redid everything about an hour ago.....so here I am typing away when I should be sleeping.  lol
This has sadly been happening a lot lately. My crafty mojo is in a funk, I think.  Does this ever happen to you?? Do you just wait it out?  I hope it goes away soon, as I have two huge orders to fill. One due in a week!!  Yikes!!!

Enough of my troubles....  :)  Let's move on to what I have created for you.....

I purchased some flower seeds a while back, and I have this adorable sentiment that I break out every spring.  I thought it would be perfect to create a little gift bag for the seed packets.  I wanted to be able to see the seed packet through the bag, so I made the packet with my mini treat bag die using some vellum.

The sentiment is from Great Impressions, the flowers are from the SU Petite Petals set, cut with the coordinating punch. The leaves are cut with the Bird Punch.

The card base is Tip Top Taupe, the dsp is a piece from my stash, and I am not sure where it is from. The umbrellas are cut from another piece of dsp.

Next up on the hop is Lori.  I am sure she has something wonderful to share as you hop along.

Make it a great day.
Hug your pets!!!

SIP94tictactoe

Even though the view out my window is not exactly "springlike", the tic tac toe for this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is very "springlike".......

I took a stroll down the right side of the board, using a lace trim, some yellow, and a bird.

I kinda feel like I was channeling my inner Andrea with this card. She has been on vacation all week, and I must have missed her......  lol

Hope you enjoy my creation.  It was nice to 'think spring' even though it is sleeting outside and trying to snow.  :(  Gotta love spring in Wisconsin!!

Have a great week!!

SIP93flowers

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card for this week's challenge.

I have to admit, I started this post with a totally different card, but just wasn't loving it, so I started over!!  Does that ever happen to you??

So............. Here is my second attempt.....

I dusted off a few "oldies but goodies" to do this one!!  I purchased the retired Lattice die months ago, but must admit this is the first time I have used it!!  :)  And I also pulled out my retired Lotus Blossom set, which is still one I love.

The color is Melon Mambo..... with a touch of Old Olive for the stems.

The lattice is attached with Tombow glue, the stamped image (cut out with my stitched die) is attached with dimensionals.

Hope you can find some time to add a card to our challenge this week.  Who doesn't love flowers?!?!?!

Thanks again for stopping by.
Make it a great day!!

Hug your pets,
Lisa

SIP91color

Hello!!!
And thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge....

I was struggling a bit with the combo, until I was working on something else and came across this piece of dsp in the Serene Scenery stack. And the light bulb went on!! lol

I stamped the Unity Stamp Co image, from the "Everything Joyful and Beautiful" set.  in Crumb Cake on to the dsp, then stamped it again on to some white cardstock. I colored part of the image on the white, then cut the part I wanted using my stitched square die.  I adhered the colored image on to the dsp with dimensionals then stamped the sentiment, from SU's "Regarding Dahlias".

I finished it off with some twine tied around the card.

The coloring was done with copic markers, the sentiment color is Elegant Eggplant.

Again, thanks for stopping by!!!
Hope you can find some time to join this week's challenge!!

Hug your pets.

SIP91HBAndrea

This week is my friend Andrea's birthday.
She is turning 25 (again).  :)
So, the rest of the design team is set to wish her a great day!!

Image may contain: text
I saw a card with a see-thru front on Pinterest some time ago, and have wanted to try this ever since....

I cut a piece of designer paper and tacked it to the front of the card, placed where I was going to want it, and ran it thru my big shot, cutting both the dsp and the card front at the same time. This allowed me to get the line up just right. I adhered my acetate sheet to both the back of the dsp and the front of the card front. Between these layers I put a layer of foam tape around the opening, filled it with sequins and balloon cutouts, and stuck my layers together.

I will definitely try this layout again.  I figured a shaker card was needed, as Andrea is a fan.  :)

Please take some time and participate in our challenge if you can!!
Have a great week!!
Hug your pets.

SIP90shaker

Helloooooo.......
This weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is a shaker card.  I see SO many that are SO cute, but I just don't make a lot of them. So this was just the nudge needed to break out the sequins!!

I have had this shaker-ready balloon which came in a kit of ready-to-make projects.  I have used so many items out of the kit, that there is not much left to create the items the kit was intended for. This seemed the perfect opportunity to make use of it....

The other balloons were all punched with the Balloon Punch. The sentiment is from the "Party Pants" set.
The colors used were Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.  The background is from a paper stack from My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Hug your pets.

osatbloghopbdaybash

I am hopping along with the OSAT blog hoppers this month.

The theme is "Birthday Bash", inspired, I imagine, by the fact that our fearless leader, Andrea Tracy-Tucker, has a birthday this month.  She will be turning 29, again, I believe!!  :)

I took this opportunity to play some more with my "taco truck".  I love this Tasty Truck set, and love tacos even more, so I have changed the name of the set in my head.....  lol

So, my original idea was for a little cupcake holder. The local grocery store has pretty good cupcakes, so I talked myself in to buying some.  I happened to get some with purple in the frosting, so this is why my project became purple....

So, I began with the cupcake box. I used Wisteria Wonder, and some retired dsp to create it. The band I started with to form the box is 2" high, each side is 3" wide. I used the retired Two Tags die (which I just received from the wonderful Tina Riddle!!) to make the taller sides because I wanted a little curve and detail to the sides. I punched the tags with a small star punch to add some detail....my original idea was to add some balloon cutouts, but they just didn't look right...

On the front, I attached the Tasty Truck, and on the back....

the rest of the sentiment and a little ribbon detailing.

My card base is Wisteria Wonder. And I again made a little truck for the front.  For the background I repeatedly stamped the truck in Wisteria Wonder ink.

I also made a little treat bag. I must admit that I am unsure if the bag is Stampin Up, or if it is one I purchase from a local craft store (I have both).  :)

Again, I stamped the little truck and colored it with copics. It is all ready to be filled with goodies!!

Thank you for stopping by to check out my goodies!! I hope you are having a wonderful day!!
Hug your pets.
Lisa
