SIP129

This week's theme for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is a color combo of red, green, and gold......  Well, gold is not something I use much of, so I had a bit of a challenge coming up with something that would work to help meet the challenge.

This is what I came up with.....

The card base is Cherry Cobbler, as is the ink I used to stamp the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Tin of Tags".  The images are from "pebbles". And, here is the funny part......the gold ribbon is out of my wrapping stash!!!  I was wrapping a few gifts last night for Titus to take to his co-workers, and luckily, the roll contained some gold.  Yay me!

The sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla, the images are applied with dimensionals.

Please take a moment to join our challenge is you can.
Merry Christmas.

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is "Let It Snow".

Here is northern Wisconsin, we are still waiting on some snow.  We had a bit a while back, but that has pretty much all melted.  I can't believe it is into December, and we have no snow.  One to two inches is in the forecast for tonight, so maybe it will be all white outside in the morning when I leave work.  I love the look of snow, but hate to drive in it!!

My card for this challenge is pretty simple.  Sometimes simple is best.  I just couldn't think of anything to add to it.

The stamps are from Unity Stamp Company.  The colors I used are Dapper Denim and Pool Party.

Please join the challenge if you can!!  There is so much you can do with this theme!!

Happy Thanksgiving week!!
Hope you are getting to enjoy some extra holiday time with family and friends.  Safe travels if you are heading out and about.  :)

This week at Stamp, Ink, Paper......
our challenge for you is "Grateful, Thankful, Blessed".
I went with a simple "thank you" card.  I had made some similar to send out after my dad passed away earlier this year, and I needed a few more for some coworkers recently. I had just loved how they turned out, so I made more of them, almost the same.

I started with my "go to" stamp set, Lovely as a Tree.
I stamped it in black, and sponged in some colors using Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Pear Pizzazz.  I then attached the white layer to coordinating cardstock, and done!!

A quick and simple card.  I can always count on that stamp set to help me out if I am ever at a loss for something to make.  :)

SIP125colors

Hello again!!
Thanks for stopping by.....

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is some pretty colors for fall. And, the timing is perfect as I picked up my new "Painted Harvest" stamp set at the post office today!!!  It has, sadly, been sitting there since Friday, but I had no opportunity to get there before today.  How sad!!

Here is my first project with it.....

My colors used are Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry for the ink. Chocolate Chip is also the card base color, but I snuck in some Early Espresso ribbon under the sentiment.

This past week we had to say goodbye to my best furry friend, Scout.

That makes all three pups we have lost within the last 14 months.  It is very sad, and very quiet, in our house now.  I don't think my heart is quite ready for a new pup yet, but maybe within a few months.  So, hug your furkids extra close today!!

Please take a moment to join in our challenge this week.  I know I will be playing with this stamp set again soon......I love it!!  And it worked really well with the challenge colors.  My new "toys" came in the mail at a good time.....I need the distraction!!

Hello there!!  And thanks for stopping by!!

I am not much of a wine or coffee drinker, so I don't have any wine stamps, and only a few coffee ones, so I had to think of something totally different.  And this is where I went.....

Te card base is Flirty Flamingo.  The stamp is from Stampabilities.  It is stamped in black, and colored in with Copics.

SIP123sketch

Hello!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

This is, surprise...surprise, not my original idea for this week's sketch.
But, when I went to make my card, I couldn't find the framelits I wanted to use. So that meant going back to the drawing board, and doing so quickly, as I didn't realize it was getting late, and my link was due!!

The card base is Old Olive. The white layer I ran through a snowflake filled embossing folder. The dsp is from a retired SU Christmas collection, I believe. The Cherry Cobbler swirly swirl is cut out using the Swirly Scribbles framelits. and the penguin and sentiment are from 'pebbles'.

I was inspired to use this sentiment because I wore up to THIS on Saturday morning....

Yuk.  Winter seems to be coming early to northern Wisconsin.

It s such a fun sketch!!  I hope you can find some time to make something to share with us.  IF I come across my tree framelits, I may try my original idea.  lol

SIP122washi

Hello!!!
Thanks for checking out my post for challenge #122 at Stamp, Ink, Paper.
This week washi tape is in the spotlight.  I must admit that I don't think to use washi much, but I do have about two dozen rolls of it for some reason, so luckily I was prepared!!  lol

I am in Christmas mode, as I am getting ready for a craft fair, so that made my choice of washi easy.
I used the Perfect Pines framelits (SU) to cut the tree and star. The stitched oval is from Gina Steimel.  The sentiment is from Better Together (SU).

The oval is pooped up with some foam squares.

Can't wait to see what you come up with using your washi.  Perhaps you will inspire me to use mine more!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's card for Stamp, Ink, Paper!
We have a tic-tac-toe board to go by this week, and I am hoping that my pine cones and needles count as "wood" on the board!!  :)

I love all things Christmas, and, since I am sick and feel like poo, I thought making something Christmas related would cheer me up.
IT hasn't worked yet, but that may just be lack of sleep and all the meds I took.

The colors are Mossy Meadow and Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla paper.
I cut the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and in Very Vanilla and layered them.
If you have any other questions, just leave a comment or message me on facebook...... I am off to sleep!!

SIP120limeorangeblack

Welcome to this week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper!!

We have some fun colors for you to work with this week...
I mean, who doesn't love lime??  Well, I do!!  :)

Combine that with orange and black, and my mind went right to Halloween.
I am not a big fan of Halloween, but HAD to have this cute Cookie Cutter Halloween set from Stampin Up last year.  I hadn't inked up anything ut the scarecrow in the set, so I thought it was a good time to break out some of the other characters....

The base is a piece of random orange cardstock purchased at a local scrapping store that is sadly going out of business. :(  I made the background by inking up the eraser on my pencil in Lemon Lime Twist and Pumpkin Pie ink and tapping it all over the paper.  The spidery sentiment is from Great Impressions.

I hope you an find time to join in this week's challenge.

This week at Stamp,Ink, Paper we have a Cardmaker's Choice for you.
It's nice to have free reign when you have a project in mind for someone special.  I have an aunt that just helped me out with something that has been stressing me out for over a month.  I needed a pretty card to send her my thanks, so here it is......

I also got to play with my new Daisy stamp set and punch sent to me by the always awesome Andrea Tracy-Tucker!! I have a feeling this set is going to get a lot of use in the coming weeks!

The colors I used were Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Pear Pizzazz.  I also used my stitched shapes from Gina Steimel.

Hope you enjoy what I have made.  I like how colorful and cheerful it is.

Please take a moment to join in this week's challenge by sharing whatever you have chosen to create!!  Just click on the image below to be taken to the challenge page......

SIP118gcholder

Welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge.  This week, make us anything but a regular A2 card. It can be a shaped card, a fun fold, or a 3D project......

I decided to make a gift card holder.  The way things are going this fall, I am not sure if I will get to participate in any of the local craft fairs, which makes me a little sad, cuz I really enjoy them.  But I would still like to have a few things on hand, for peeps I know that usually look to me for gift ideas and stocking stuffers.

The base of the holder is Cherry Cobbler cardstock. It measures 9 5/8" x 4".  Score it at 1 3/4", 4 1/2", 5 3/4", and 7".

I used a large oval punch to cut out the piece where the gift card goes. And then used paper snips to trim out to about 1/4" from each edge.

The belly band is 1" x 11". I like to have my holder fully decorated, then put the band around it, just so I don't make it too snug.  :)

The patterned paper is from some scraps I had in my bin.  I love to use up my odds and ends on projects like this!!  I save so many scraps, it is nice to find a use for them.

Hope you can find some time to join this week's challenge.

SIP117watercolor

Sigh......  Watercoloring and I are not friends. I have tried a few things, and was not happy with any results, so I stopped trying.  Well, then Andrea has this brainstorm that we needed to do a watercolor challenge.  Some days I wonder why I like her.....  lol.

Well, after a few struggles, I came across a few happy accidents......

The first background I made by touching ink pads to my acrylic block, spritzing it with water, and laying paper over the top.  The colors are Tim Holtz's Distress Ink 'Mowed Lawn' and 'Mustard Seed'.
The stamps are from Endless Creations.

For this second one, same stamps, but the inks are from Stampin Up. I believe I used Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry.

This last one, is the same as the above.  I inked this paper, spritzed some more water on the acrylic block, then did the above paper. These images are from the retired Summer Silhouette set, the image is a random little fella that I am not sure where it came from.

Hope you like these.  Now that I have found a system that works for me, I think I will do more.

Hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge.  I would like to see what you come up with, and what techniques you use!!

Make it a great week.

SIP116Fall

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge for Stamp, Ink, Paper!!

This week the challenge is a Clean and Simple fall card.  I really love CAS cards. I especially love that, even though I am nursing a migraine, a CAS card didn't hurt my already aching brain too much.  lol

The sentiment is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. The image is from Unity Stamp Co.  I don't know why, but sunflowers always make me think of fall. I stamped both with Chocolate Chip ink, and colored the image with copic markers. The base is Crushed Curry cardsotck. The image and sentiment are on Very Vanilla cardstock.

Another thing I love about Clean and Simple cards is how quickly they come together,  I must admit, this card only took me a few minutes to put together.  The biggest chunk of time was taken up digging through my Unity Stamps to find the one I had in mind!!  :)

I hope you can find some time to join in!!  I would love to see what you come up with.

Make it a great day.

SIP115colors

Welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge.
This week, we have some awesome colors for you to play with.

I must admit, I struggled a bit with this one.  My first several ideas just didn't pan out.
So, I decided to play with my "Crazy" friends!!  :)

I colored my critters with copics. Cut them out with their matching dies. Applied them to the cards with dimensionals.  The splatter spot on the dog card are from Timeless Textures. The dots on the dog card are from "You are Here" and the sentiment, which cracks me up, is from "Riley & Company".

The dots on the bird card are a retired Stampin Up item, as is the patterned paper.  I cut the layers out with my stitched dies from Gina Steimel.  The sentiment is from "Crackerbox Palace".

Hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge.  I would love to see what you all do with these colors!!

Make it a great week!!

Hello!!  And thanks for stopping in to check out my card for this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge.

This week we have a fun sketch for you.  As I have often said, I love sketches.....they are some of my favorite challenges to do!!

Hope I don't offend anyone with my sassy card..... but I got this stamp set (from Unity Stamp Co) at a stamping/scrapping sale/swap at a ridiculously low price, and I have been waiting for a chance to ink it up.

I think it is hysterical.  Titus and my brother both shook their heads when I showed it off yesterday.  They don't get my sense of humor sometimes!!  lol

As I said, the stamps are from Unity Stamp Company.  The name of the set is "AH Crap".  lol  My colors are Mint Macaron and Wisteria Wonder.

If I haven't totally offended you, please take a moment to enter this week's challenge!!  Just click on the challenge badge below.....

Again, thanks for stopping by!!

SIP113back2school

Welcome to the "Back to School" card challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper.

I don't have a lot of school related things, cuz - no kids.  Well, my kids have paws, and don't go to school....  :)

But, I did find a few things in my stash that I think worked..... I do have a sister that is a teacher, so there are a few items related to school lying around..

The stamps are from "Oogloo" and "Cooke Scraps".  Weird names for stamp makers, but that is what the blocks say.  :)  I colored the images with my copics, and attached them to some paper I thought was appropriate.  It is hard to come up with ideas when you don't really have a lot to choose from, but I think I did ok.

Hope you can ind time to share your creations with me!!  Maybe your ideas can inspire me to make some cards for my sister throughout the year!!

Make it a great week!!

SIP112travel

Hello there fellow crafty folks!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper theme is "travel".
Thanks, Justin.  Now I want to go on vacation!!

I used some paper from American Craft for the background and the smaller circles.  The image is from Unity Stamp Co, and is called "Let's Be Adventurers".  The little wooden airplane is what started the whole card idea (funny where my 'jumpin off' points come from sometimes!!).  I am not sure where the plane came from, I believe I got the baggie of shapes from Hobby Lobby.  It also contains bikes, cars, and sailboats.

So, take some time to make a travel themed card, and go "on vacation" with me...... this may be as close to a vacation as I get. lol

OSATbloghop-kids

OMGeeeeeee......  Who remembered to finish her blog post like at the last possible minute??  THIS GIRL!!  lol  Hope I make sense, cuz I am tired!!

So, I don't have much "back to school" stuff geared towards kids, so I went with a birthday theme for a little guy I know who has a birthday coming up, and he happens to like trucks, so.....

I had the gift, and gift bag, with all the dots, which I thought was fun, so I wanted dots on the card, and, as I mentioned he likes trucks.

The images are from "Little Trucks" which is an oldie, but goodie Stampin Up set.  The sentiment is from the Mini Treat bag die set.

I hope he likes it, and the trucks inside.  I will also give his mom the rest of the box of crayons, cuz the leftovers do me no good.  :)

Next up on the hop is Rick Adkins.  I am sure he will have you something fun to check out as you hop along!!

Make it a great day,
Hug your pets!!
