CYCI#109

I love the challenge this week at Can You Case It!!

http://canyoucaseit.com/

I love this color combo. Even though the wind is howling outside and we were without power this morning for a few hours, these colors make me think "spring".  Warm thoughts helped when the house was super cold this morning.

I must love this Unity stamp, cuz I ordered it twice.  lol  Oh well, now I have a spare in case I need a prize for our facebook card group.  The stamp is adorable!!  So it is hard to mind paying for it twice.

The stamp is called "Sunny Peep". The stitched dies are from Gina Steimel.  The yellow background is sponged on with Daffodil Delight.  I added a few sparkles of bling. The oval is popped up with dimentionals.

Hope you enjoy today's creation!!
Make it a great week!!

SIP 36 Designer's Choice

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!!  Welcome to challenge #36 at Stamp, Ink, Paper.

This was a struggle for me!! I just couldn't choose!!  lol  I have WAY too many favorites to fit on just one card.  :) But, I kept at it, and narrowed it down to a few of my many faves.

I love the browns/neutrals.  I chose Crumb Cake for this one.  I love my stitched dies, and put them to use.  I love to color, and love sponging, so did both of those.

Among my favorite stamp sets are Lovely as a Tree, Hardwood, and Changing Seasons, so those came out.  I also love the Butterfly Thinlit dies, and twine, so added those.

The Hello Friend sentiment I used on the inside of the card is a "go-to" for me as well.

And I have been hoarding that adorable little wooden butterfly for months, thought this was a good spot for it.

Wow. I did manage to fit a lot of my faves on this little card.
Hope you enjoy it!!
Also hope to see some of your favorite things when you enter this week's challenge!!

Make it a great day!!

SIP35 Sketch

Hello!!  And welcome to challenge #35 at Stamp, Ink, Paper.  This week, we were scheduled for a sketch challenge, so early last week, I messaged our fearless leader, Justin, to see if he had something in mind, or was taking suggestions..... he asked what I had in mind, and here is one of the options I gave him......

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-eN
I had so many ideas spinning around in my head, it was hard to choose. Here is what I went with....

The card base is white, as is the stitched rectangle layer on top of the base. Using a stitched square, I cut out a piece of my favorite new dsp from the Wildflower Fields collection. The sentiment is from Unity, and the die cut is by Embossing Essentials. I received it from the talented and generous Connie Jones.  The ribbon is just a random piece from my stash.

I also made another card using the piece of dsp that I cut my square from for the first card....

I placed some glitter behind my 'window' and the sentiment is cut with the Seasonal Frame Thinlits.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you enjoy my creations.
Please take a moment to enter this week's challenge......I can't wait to see your take on my sketch!!

Have a Blessed week.

SIP#34-love

Hello!!!!  It is all about love at Stamp, Ink, Paper this week.....

http://stampinkpaper.com/2016/02/sip-challenge-34-love/

It turns out my card idea for this week was almost exactly like another designer's....lol. And when I saw her card posted, it was back to the beginning for me!!

So, here is idea #2....

The base is Mint Macaron, topped with a layer of Baked Brown Sugar (one of my favorite retired colors that I have a stash of!! lol).  I stamped the Woodgrain background on it in Chocolate Chip, topped that with a piece of burlap ribbon.  The jars are fussy cut from a piece of patterned paper I found at a local scrapping store.  Added a little sparkle with some stars I found in my embellishment drawer.

The jar with the sentiment I popped up with some dimentionals.

Hope you enjoy my card.  And I hope you can find some time to enter this week's challenge.
Thank you for stopping by!!
Make it a great day!!!  :)

SIP #33...colors

Welcome to the 33rd challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!
This week is color challenge.

http://wp.me/p6hi7Y-e1

I am trying to replenish my card supply at a local beauty shop, and needed some sympathy cards. Just yesterday received "Bloom With Hope" in the mail (I bought it from a fellow stamper).  I had wanted this set for some time, wished I had bought it when I had the opportunity!!  So once I had it, I inked it up right away!!

The card base is black, topped with a layer of Real Red. I stamped the flower and leaves from my "new" set in black, and stamped an extra flower on some scrap paper.

I colored in the extra flower and cut it out. Attached it to my card with dimentionals.  Finished it off with a sentiment from the same set, and a few black dots.

I always stamp a few extras, just in case I mess up, so I also did one in blue.....

I really like how they turned out. I saw a similar card on Pinterest, but when I went back to find it, I had no luck..... so I am not too sure how close mine came to what gave me the inspiration.

I hope you all have some time to join in this week's challenge!!
We are due to get several inches of snow over the next few days, so I am hoping to get lots of cards made for my 'stash'.  :)
Make it a great day!!
