Welcome to the November blog hop for Stampin Friends. Thank you for joining us!!
This month's guest hoppers are Wynne Grob, Kim Smith, and Steph Jandrow. Hope you enjoy their creations along with everyone else's. If you need to back up to Cindy Waldroff's page, the following button will take you there......
This month the theme is Thanksgiving. I love the reminders this time of year to take some time to be thankful for things I have. I think I get so wrapped up in day to day concerns and tend to forget the positives at times.
I decided to go a little funny with my card and project. I just purchased this adorable turkey from Unity Stamps and had to put him to use!!
My mom used to always refer to Thanksgiving as "Turkey Day", so this makes me smile a bit and think of her.
We have a great little craft store locally (well, it's an hour away, but that's as close as I get one) that carries all kinds of fun papers and buttons and such. I usually go in with one or two items I am looking for, but I never seem to leave with just those few things. I know the button came from there, and I think most of the paper did, too. They host a constant "garage sale" in the back corner of the store where you can put items you no longer need or use, and when others buy them, you receive that amount in store credit. It is a fun way to get some new toys when my funds are low!! :)
The card base is Crushed Curry, the white layer was run thru my Bigshot using the Decorative Dots folder. I sponged a little Crushed Curry on to the white to make it blend a bit as I didn't like it just stark white. The sentiment I cut out to be a little banner.
For my project, I made a matching treat holder. The turkey parts are attached to the cup with dimentionals. I think he is just adorable!! :) So festive!! He would also work great if you have the fry box die, but, as orange is my favorite color, I just had to use this cup!
Also, this month, if you email Elizabeth at happystamper508@gmail.com with the favorite color of each of the 12 bloggers and comment on each blog, you will receive a little crafty prize in the mail from each of us as a thank you.
The Next button will take you on to Elizabeth Thatcher's page. I am sure she has something wonderful in store for you!!
Thank you for stopping my blog.
I hope you each have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
