SIP79

Welcome to the 70th challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!  Thanks for stopping by.  Once again, it is our annual "Anything but Christmas" challenge.  :)  The possibilities are limitless (well, except the whole they-can't-be-Christmas thing).  lol

My sister asked me for a batch of cards of various sentiments to give out as Christmas gifts to her friends.  I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it.  I thought it would be perfect for my English teacher sister, and all her friends.  And, it seems once I inked it up, I couldn't stop!!  lol  I love to color, and so I just kept experimenting with different colors, then tried finding paper to match, and here they are.....

This one might be my favorite.  Might be.  lol Or it may be this next one.....

I just am not sure.....

I also made her some kids birthday cards, some thinking of you, a few just because cards, and some thank you cards.  Sent them out this afternoon, along with a few of her favorite Christmas treats, as I finally got around to some baking today.

I hope you each have a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for 2017.

PCC223

I have a huge card order I need to be working on.....  I was looking for some inspiration this morning when I saw this sketch at Paper Craft Crew, and right away had an idea!!

The card order is for an assortment of sentiments.  She wants birthday, thank you, sympathy, and so on......  This sketch is a great place to start.

On to my white card base, I used the eraser of my pencil, tapped on to my ink pads to make the dots along the top of card. The colors I used were Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green, Hello Honey, and Sweet Sugarplum.  The sentiment is the "Time of Year" hostess set, stamped in some of the same colors.  I like how fun it turned out while still staying pretty simple.

Hope everyone is having a great day.  It is cold and windy here, so a good day to stay inside and make more cards.  I best get back to it!!

Thanks for stopping by.

I am still trying to come up with a Christmas card to send out to my family and friends, so this challenge was a good opportunity to come up with another idea to try...

And this is my latest idea......

Card base is Pool Party, embossed layer is Pear Pizzazz, next a piece of burlap ribbon, some twine, and a stitched circle from some retired dsp to tie my colors together.  It is topped off with a tree cut with the Perfectly Pines thinlits and some sequins.  The sentiment is from Endless Wishes.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!
I finally started my baking today. My 'to do before Christmas' list is long..... here's hoping I accomplish most of it!!  :)

Make it a great day!!

Tough

I love winter.  Well, until I have to drive in it.  :)
I love to watch the snowfall from indoors, love how pretty the yard looks after a new batch of snow falls.  But, don't care for shoveling it or having to drive in it.  Especially when winter goes on and on....   But, right now it is just beginning.  We have only had snow on the ground for a few weeks, so it is still pretty....... for now.....

I love snowflakes and snowmen on cards, though, and never get sick of either of those!!!
So this challenge is perfect!!!

I have a cousin who is battling cancer.  I try to send her a card every week or two.  When I saw this Unity set, I thought of her right away.  And when I saw this challenge, my thought went right to pairing my new stamp with some snowflakes.

The ard base is Pool Party cardstock. The image and sentiment are cut out with my stitched rectangles from Gina Steimel. The embossing folder is the retired Northern Flurry.  The coloring is done with copics.

Now to send this off to Michele..... which means going outside into the snow......
Thanks for stopping by!!

SIP77sketch

Welcome to this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!

So, my first idea for this sketch was not at all Christmas themed....but then I checked the mail, and got my first Christmas card. As I have NONE done for my own use yet, I thought I better direct my card making time to working on Christmas ideas.

This sketch is pretty cute, and worked out well for my idea, I think,  The Pool Party sky circle I sponged on the card shows up much better in person.  The image and sentiment are from the retired   "White Christmas" and are stamped in black.  I ran a piece of washi down the side and attached it to some Pool Party cardstock. The star is colored in Crushed Curry, the scarf on my snowman is colored with Raspberry Ripple.  I popped up the snowman with a dimensional.

Hope you are further along on your Christmas prep than I am!!!
I don't have my cookies baked for the exchange I do with my friend Cathy, I need to do a bit more shopping.  I never seem to magically wake up to a clean house in the morning.  And, I need to make some cards!!  lol

Make it a great day!!

SIP76embossing

Hello, and thanks for stopping in to check out this week's card.

It is all about embossing this week.  Use a favorite embossing folder or heat emboss. Your choice.

I did some heat embossing on my card last week, so I went for a couple of my fave embossing folders for this week.  I couldn't decide which one to use for the background,,,,, so I used both!!

The birch trees have been a favorite since I got it, and I love the falling snow.  I ran a Pool Party ink pad down each folder before embossing on white paper, just to add a touch of color to the sky.

I cut the snowy panel to fit the card front, and cut the birch tree panel and the sentiment panel with my stitched dies from Gina Steimel.  The deer dies are from her as well, and are cut out of Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The deer and sentiment panel are popped up with dimensionals, The clear sequins that finish off the card are from Pretty Pink Posh, which I purchased through the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store.

Are you all ready for Christmas??  I am nowhere near ready!!  I haven't even decided for sure what my Christmas card is going to be this year!!  This card I am using for an Aunt who has a December birthday.  She is and avid deer hunter, and loves all the cards I make that have deer on them.  This is right up her alley.

Make it a great day!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge!!

I must admit I struggled with this one.  I have been staring at these cards for three days, trying to decide what to do!!  lol   But, I like how they turned out in the end.....

The base of both is Pool Party. Then I stamped the Hardwood and my wagon wheel (which is from Serendipity Stamps) in Pool Party. I cleaned up my stamps and then stamped each with Versamark and heat embossed using my copper powder from Stampin Up.

The sentiment on this one is from the retired "Remembering Christmas".  I finished card off with some copper brads and copper thread.

The sentiment on this card is from the retired "More Merry Messages".  I added copper thread to this one as well.

All the layers were cut out with my stitched dies from Gina Steimel.

Hope you enjoy my creations.  Thanks again for stopping by!!
Please take some time to enter this challenge.  I would love to see how you use these colors together!!

Thank for stopping by!!!  I love, love Christmas!!! And I enjoy making Clean and Simple cards, so this one was fun for me!!  I went a little non-traditional with my colors/card.....

This little reindeer cutie and sentiment are from Unity Stamp Cmpany. The set is a 'Reindeer Grab Bag' I bought many moons ago.  These reindeer remain favorites of mine.  :)  They are all adorable!!

The card base is simple white, as is the top layer.  I stamped the image and sentiment in Early Espresso and the deer is colored in with copic Brick Beige. I colored parts of him several times to darken them.  The star and middle layer are Crushed Curry.  The layers are cut with my Gina Steimel stitched dies.

Thanks again for checking in!!

SIP73grateful

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's challenge!!
Don't you just LOVE the challenge badge Justin made for this one??
It is just so pretty!!!

Having just used the word 'grateful' as a cutout on a card two challenges ago, I was kind of stuck.  But, I am working on items for an upcoming craft fair, and thought these might be cute for someone to attach to a little gift.....

The snowman is a little cutie from the retired "Snow Much Fun" and the sentiment is from 'Something to Say".

Hope you like em.  They were fun to make.

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!
Once again, my favorite thing....a sketch!!  :)

I have seen so many cute things done with the scarecrow from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set, I just HAD to have it!!  And this seemed like the perfect opportunity to ink it up.

I have never been much in to Halloween, but this scarecrow guy just had to be mine!!  :)  Isn't he adorbs??

As you can see, I tipped the ketch on it's side.....  The card base is plain old white, which I stamped the corn stalks on to with Early Espresso. The corn is from Our Craft Lounge and is called Bountiful Harvest.  The sentiment is from Northwood's Rubber Stamps, and of course, there is my new little buddy from Stampin Up,  Everything is colored with copics, and the sentiment and scarecrow are popped up with dimensionals. I put a couple of loops of twine behind my new friend.

Thanks again for stopping by!!
I am headed back to the basement to make more wreaths.

Along with my helpers.......

SIP71colors

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's color challenge!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw these colors and thought of fall..... tis the season.

I didn't have any "rust", but my friend Andrea took care of that by giving me a few sheets of paper. I cut out a wreath layer in each color with the Swirly Scribbles die, tied them together with some twine. I then added the sentiment in rust as well. The dsp layer is from my stash, and I am not sure what it was called, but it matched super well, so I put it to use.  :)

I like the simple look this has.  I know just who I shall send it to.

Thanks again for stopping by.

SIP70

Thanks for stopping by to check out challenge #70 at Stamp, Ink, Paper!!

I decided to go right down the center....

Green on the broom handle, ribbon along the right side of the layer with the image, and the theme is Halloween.  Turns out, I also went diagonally from top right to bottom left, too.  :)

The base is Baked Brown Sugar, the dsp is from my stash, the image and sentiment are from "If the Boom Fits" which is from last year's SU holiday catty.

The ruffled ribbon is a retired Baked Brown Sugar favorite. The sequins are from the Autumn Harvest Mix by Pretty Pink Posh.

Make it a great day!!

OSAT Blog Hop - Oh My Pumpkins and Pie

Hello there!!  And thanks for hopping thru to my spot in this month's hop. I was asked by Andrea last night if I would jump in with some goodies, due to a few peeps that were unable to hop this month.

Due to the late notice, I had to think pretty quick, and so this is what I came up with.  :)

I probably should have warned you..... it is petty colorful!!  lol

The card base is Pool Party. I embossed a piece of white cardstock in my birch tree embossing folder after running my Pool Party ink pad on to the folder so it would color the sky for me as I embossed.
The pumpkins and the sentiment are from a Unity set called Thanks, Thanks & Thanks.  The leaves are cut out with an Impression Obsession die, as is the little wheelbarrow.

My little pumpkin treat holder is made using the Curvy Keepsake die. I embossed it using the birch tree folder as well.  I fussy cut another couple of pumpkins, colored them and looped some twine behind them, then attached then to the holder with dimensionals.  And then a few more leaves found their way on to my project.  I don't have many treats lying around, so I put a few Starbursts in a little baggie, and tucked them in my little 'pumpkin'.

Hope you like what I came up with. I love fall, mostly because Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer is back!  lol  I am on my fourth bottle of the stuff!!

The leaves are pretty much past peak here in northern Wisconsin.  It is gloomy and rainy and cold today.....pretty dreary, so this cheerful card and project were a fun distraction from the gloom outside.

Thanks again for stopping by!!
Make it a great day.

PCC214

Very fun sketch this week at Paper Craft Crew.....
Gave me an idea right away!!!

And this is what came to mind....

The base of my card is white, as is the layer on top of the base.  I put the white layer in my snowflake embossing folder and ran over part of the folder with the end of a screwdriver to partially emboss some snowflakes on to it. I then sponged some Pool Party ink on to the snowflakes.

After adhering the layer to the base, I topped it with a piece of retired dsp.  I cut a big snowflake in Pool Party, and popped that up with some dimensionals. The sentiment is from Endless Wishes, stamped in Pool Party on white cardstock, and also popped up with dimensionals with some silver thread behind it.  I added a little more sparkle with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card.

SIP69LOVE

Hello, and thank you for stopping by to check out this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!!  This week it's about love....

In a few short weeks, Titus and will be marking 10 years together.  We have been thru a lot in the last 10 years.  Some good, some not.  We met through Match.com, and every time a commercial for Match comes on, he says to the peeps on tv "Don't do it!!  Just look at what Lisa ended up with!!" lol

I thought this would be a fun card for him.  Hope he likes it.
The card base is Crushed Curry, as is the embossed heart layer. The image and sentiment are from the Pun Intended hostess set.  I colored the 'light' with a sponge dipped in some Crushed Curry.  The heart is from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits, and cut in Pool Party.  The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh, acquired from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store.  :)

Thanks again for stopping by.
Make it a great week.
